Multi-use activity observation tower

Nestled on the southern side of the station, at an altitude of 1760 meters, the tower is strategically placed near the Tremplin lift and blends seamlessly into the natural topography. Its location ensures unobstructed views of the mountains while providing a secluded, tranquil experience for visitors. The tower’s subtle integration into the site ensures it neither dominates nor disrupts the landscape.

Perched 21 meters above the ground, it is a key feature of the tower, allowing visitors to experience the grandeur of the mountains and valley below. The sales center of Namhae Local Food Culture Center is a permanent store, but it can be arranged to hold an outdoor market by designating market days in consultation with local merchants. The installed benches are usually a resting space for residents, but on market days, they can be utilized for the market.
A small garden is located at the main entrance of the Namhae Local Food Culture Center. This space aims to reduce direct contact between the road and the center and to minimize noise and visual pollution. This garden can be used for various purposes. Inviting local artists to exhibit their works can promote genuine local culture and create a high-quality multifunctional cultural space.

Namhae Local Food Complex Cultural Center is located on a site surrounded by mountains and the sea. In such a beautiful natural environment, architectural projects are not exaggerating when they say that the landscape creates the project rather than the architecture being the main character. To design in harmony with nature, the surrounding context was architecturally reinterpreted and reflected in the architectural elements. As if originally placed on the land, the roof is formed according to the shape of the mountains in the foreground. A simple yet elegant roof creates a creative space underneath and serves as a container for various programs. This roof is an element that participates in the sequence of the project and provides stability by uniting it, but depending on its location, it can also create sharp lines that introduce tension.
