The farmhouse is honoured' with the scratchings of the loir gris (edible dormouse)
Keeping us up at night and waking us up when we do manage to sleep.
In France these cute bushy tailed things are protected, so it's a couple of humane traps to capture and release into the woods.

We finally have a flushing toilet, no more buckets of water 🤣

When a midday break turns into a 1am finish! 😅

​We decided on a whim in the middle of the day to 'take a break' and take the rest of the afternoon off! ☀️ After a quick freshen-up in Weetabix-The Crafter we got our bikes out, ready to ride into Chateauneuf-La-forêt for a beer (or two)
​As we were leaving, we bumped into our neighbors who had the exact same idea! 🚲 We all rode down to the lake together and stumbled upon a lovely little restaurant/bar, . Great staff, excellent service, and even better company, highly recommend.
After a couple of drinks, we all made our way back to the Farmhouse for an impromptu soirée... lights out at 1 AM! 🥱✨

Part 1.
The massive fireplace in the former kitchen of our farmhouse. This room when renovated will be a lounge, so the first step is to renovate the fireplace, which will house a log burner.

We’ve officially taken the plunge and bought an abandoned farmhouse in Châteauneuf-la-Forêt. It’s forgotten, it’s overgrown, and it’s full of character
we’re slowly bringing it all back to life.
