Nimmerdor, the esteemed Preferent stallion, is the cornerstone of the VDL Stud. After a successful international career in show jumping, he significantly impacted both national and international breeding programs. His legacy continues through his 18 KWPN-approved sons, including notable names like Ahorn, Wellington, Goodtimes, and Heartbreaker, as well as his 39 approved grandsons, such as Emilion, Farrington, Glennridge, Kalusha, Londontimes, Matterhorn, Ohorn, Pacific, Radisson, and Sydney. Worldwide, Nimmerdor boasts over 40 approved stallions.

In addition to his breeding success, Nimmerdor produced numerous national and international jumping champions. His remarkable achievements and those of his descendants earned him the prestigious title of “Preferent.” In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he was named “Stallion of the Century” in 2000. Nimmerdor retired from breeding in March 1999 to enjoy his later years, passing away on April 25, 2003, at the age of 31.
