Today, we say goodbye to Benny. A colleague who, over the years, became so much more than that.

What started on the production floor grew into an impressive journey within the After Sales team. Benny became our living encyclopedia, a mentor to new colleagues and, above all, a reassuring voice for customers. With his calm approach, dry sense of humour and remarkable knowledge, he always knew how to put people at ease.

Within the company too, he leaves behind countless wonderful memories. The sound of the laminating machine (because everything had to be laminated), his trolley filled with folders and parts, the training sessions in the showroom, the fascinating stories, the Harley and, of course, his love for music and skiing. These are all things we will forever associate with Benny.

Today, we celebrate not only his retirement, but also his 60th birthday. Two special milestones for someone who has meant so much to Novy and to his colleagues.

And because retirement certainly won’t slow his creativity down, he also received a workshop voucher to customize and “pimp” clothes, something that suits his personality perfectly.

Benny, thank you for your dedication, patience, humour and warmth throughout all these years.

Enjoy everything that lies ahead. You’ve more than earned it. 💛

We’re pleased to welcome a new colleague to the Novy electronics team.

Dieter joins Novy as an Embedded Software Engineer, bringing over 15 years of experience in tackling complex challenges and improving products. After 11 years in the smart home industry, where he supported customers in integrating chip technology, he now takes the step closer to the end product.

Driven by Novy’s ambitions and the strength of Belgian development and production, Dieter is ready to contribute to what’s next.

A true team player who is both driven and persistent, at work and beyond. In his spare time, he enjoys table tennis and takes on ultra walking challenges, recently completing a 42 km coast walk, with even 100 km distances already ticked off. Going the extra mile clearly comes naturally to him. 😏

Yesterday, Novy welcomed a full house: a large group of enthusiastic third-year Industrial Design Engineering students from Universiteit Gent .

As part of their ‘Product Realisation’ course, they stepped into our world, where ideas evolve from first concept to finished product.

They discovered how production, assembly, logistics and quality assurance bring ideas to life.

We genuinely value these moments. Through close collaborations with universities and colleges, we stay connected to the fresh perspectives of the next generation of designers, while sharing our experience as a Belgian manufacturer driven by innovation.
