St-Omer : Vers une Nouvelle Vague Urbaine

Ce projet d’extension urbaine à St-Omer, conçu pour s’intégrer harmonieusement à son environnement. Niché entre le canal et la gare, ce développement favorise une continuité fluide avec la ville existante.

Principales caractéristiques :

Bande commerciale : Prolongement le long du canal pour dynamiser le secteur.

Mobilité douce : Pistes cyclables et promenades intégrées pour une réduction de la dépendance automobile.

Espaces communautaires : Une grande place centrale animée par des activités sociales, des jardins partagés, et des installations pour les clubs sportifs locaux.

Coulée verte : Un parc séquencé créant des espaces de détente et encourageant les interactions.

Ce projet incarne une approche durable et inclusive de l’urbanisme, axée sur le bien-être des habitants et la valorisation du patrimoine.

Le mot “berge” à Madagascar revêt une signification complexe, étant influencé par des facteurs humains et climatiques. L’urbanisation croissante, exacerbée par le remblayage des rizières, remet en question les limites de ce territoire.

Le projet “Berges d’Ivandry”, situé à 1.4 km au nord de la capitale, cherche à redéfinir ces limites en créant une nouvelle berge qui restaure les rizières et valorise le paysage naturel. Il propose un modèle d’urbanisation inclusif pour réduire la fracture sociale, avec des éléments tels qu’un marché, des espaces communautaires, des terres agricoles, et des pistes cyclables.

Le projet vise également à établir des connexions entre les quartiers et à gérer efficacement la chaîne de production alimentaire, en intégrant des ateliers de transformation. En somme, “Berges d’Ivandry” ambitionne de renforcer les liens urbains et de sensibiliser la population sur les enjeux de leur territoire.

Le projet de reconnexion du Jardin des Salines s’inspire de l’histoire dynamique de cet espace, autrefois animé par les marchands ambulants, et servant de lieu de rencontre pour les habitants des Salines. Suite au développement de la capitale, l’installation de zones de stationnement pour les bus a interrompu ce lien vital entre ce poumon vert et le quartier des Salines.

L’objectif de ce projet est de rétablir cette connexion en s’ancrant directement à Tantine Snack, pilier emblématique du quartier, connu de plusieurs générations et servant de point central. Le but est de redonner vie au quartier en offrant des espaces de rencontre et de promenade à travers le jardin, ainsi que de soutenir le projet à venir de Landscope.

Ce projet vise à renforcer les liens entre les habitants et à offrir une place privilégiée aux commerçants. Des stands seront mis en place pour promouvoir les produits locaux, avec des aménagements favorisant les circulations et offrant ainsi des opportunités de rencontre pour les usagers. En réactivant ces interactions, le Jardin des Salines retrouvera son rôle central au cœur de la communauté.

MO’BAZ

This project begins with the revaluation and rehabilitation of the post office building, in order to transform it into a reception space for a gourmet restaurant. The Mo’ Baz restaurant, located in the heart of an agricultural estate including orchards and greenhouses, highlights local products. Mo’ Baz also aims to support the culinary initiative set up by the smart city, because the restaurant is a complementary project to the latter.

Additionally, the restaurant will create jobs for women from the island’s most vulnerable neighborhoods, providing them with the opportunity to earn a stable income and develop their skills, helping to improve their safety and well-being. While preserving the identity of the stone building, two greenhouses will be added to maintain a constant link with agriculture.

Local products will be grown in orchards and greenhouses using a hydroponics system, and these products will be found in the dishes offered on Mo’ Baz’s menu. You will have the opportunity to taste delicious dishes while being surrounded by agricultural crops, with a panoramic view of greenhouses and orchards.

LUMINOUS BOX
A brick façade protecting an architectural lantern that aims to put the city of Tallahassee under the light of architecture. Thanks to its unique translucent structure, the diurnal and nocturnal silhouettes of people in motion on the translucent facade dance in rhythm for Tallahassee residents and students; local artists will present their works in this unique and highly sought-after platform in Tallahassee, offering quality spaces such as a bar, a café, an open terrace and an exhibition hall, with a unique experience of observing the movement of silhouettes on the light box while enjoying static or animated works of art: a pleasant, immersive and vibrant experience, just like the city of Tallahassee.

SHAPES l Vieux Grand-Port

Located in the south-east of Mauritius, precisely in Vieux Grand Port, is a hamlet of a fishing community and also recognized for its history. This site offers a strong topography, which is imposed by its very dense vegetation. We have sheltered from the sun thanks to the particularly seasonal trees. Going down to the beach, one discovers a panoramic view of the bay of Vieux Grand Port.

The project is set up in the middle of the site as a clearing with an average temperature. The concept of the project is to place the dwellings between the trees and thus benefit from shade and natural light to the maximum and raise them on stilts. A form consisting of regular and irregular. Keeping the effect of a bioclimatic project, the project contains a natural cooling system with the wind.

To keep the identity of the site, the wood was mainly used to not obstruct this environment, keeping a certain lightness by blending in the nature with its Pinewood facades. A harmony with nature was created through the common spaces. Keeping a transition of approach, the project is traversed from a semi-public space to a semi-private space and ultimately to a private space, including housing.

Its program is to make the inhabitants happy and so that they can live in harmony with nature through a unique architecture. Ecology, the key to architecture is very present in this project. That said, there is abundant brightness in each room as well as in the common spaces. Natural ventilation to cool the rooms and other rooms. Not to mention the rainwater harvesting for daily use. That’s what makes SHAPES.

Hello I’m Hans Bheeca!
As a recent graduate of ENSA Nantes Mauritius with a degree in Architecture and Urbanism and actually continuing my studies in architecture at ENSAP Lille. I am excited to bring my fresh perspective and passion for design to the industry.

During my time in school, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from conceptual designs to real-world applications. I am particularly interested in sustainable design, historic preservation, and am always looking for ways to incorporate innovative and eco-friendly practices into my work.

I am a strong believer in the power of design to transform spaces and communities, and I am committed to creating spaces that are not only functional, but also beautiful and inspiring. I am constantly seeking new opportunities to learn and grow as a designer, and I am excited to see where my career will take me.

When I'm not working on design projects, you can find me taking out the best shots out of my camera. I believe that a well-rounded life is essential for maintaining creativity and inspiration in my work.
