🇬🇧 Safety is our number one priority at Parrington & Crossland. 🔥
🔴 Unfortunately, there have been reports recently of carbon monoxide poisoning, and also fires caused by wood being stored too close to wood burning stoves.
🔴 Please take a few minutes to check the batteries and dates on your carbon monoxide and smoke detectors. (It is a legal requirement to have a smoke detector in your home here in France)
🔴 DO NOT store your logs or bûches next to your wood burner.
🔴 Don't forget to make sure your wood burner is swept at least once a year by a professional sweep and to use dry wood (less than 20% moisture).

Stay safe, keep warm.

🔴 Malheureusement, des cas d'intoxication au monoxyde de carbone et d'incendies causés par du bois stocké trop près de poêles à bois ont récemment été signalés.
🔴 Veuillez prendre quelques minutes pour vérifier les piles et les dates de péremption de vos détecteurs de monoxyde de carbone et de fumée. (En France, la présence d'un détecteur de fumée dans votre logement est une obligation légale).
🔴 NE STOCKEZ PAS vos bûches à côté de votre poêle à bois.
🔴 N'oubliez pas de faire ra***er votre poêle au moins une fois par an par un ramoneur professionnel et d'utiliser du bois sec (moins de 20 % d'humidité).

Restez en sécurité, restez au chaud.

⏰ When the clocks change it's always a good reminder to check your smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide detectors.
👉 Press the button, check the batteries.🪫
🧹Give them a gentle clean with a soft bristle brush on your vacuum cleaner, or a damp cloth to keep the sensors clear.
📅 Especially for the Carbon Monoxide detectors, check the expiration date.
