A nice 6km walk around Suwon's city walls in a barmy 26°c . It was built from 1794 to 1796 by King Jeongjo of the Joseon dynasty to house and honour the remains of his father, Prince Sado. Sado had been executed by being locked alive inside a rice chest by his own father King Yeongjo after failing to obey a command to commit su***de.

We visited a wonderful little village today, it has over 40 murals. All painted be local artists. The village was originally built to house refugees after the 1950's Korean war, in more recent times the whole area became rundown. Then following a 2012 municipal revitalization project, converting homes into cafes and studios that now offer colorful, panoramic views near the Hanok Village.

A great few hours spent here today - Gyeongbokgung Palace was built in 1395 as the official palace of the Joseon dynasty by Yi Seong-gye, the future King Taejo and founder of the new regime. Gyeongbokgung Palace is commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because of its location to the north, comparied to Changdeokgung Palace in the east and Gyeonghuigung Palace in the west. Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful and is the largest of all five palaces

Visited my Tottenham project in London this week, maybe for the last time as the main contractors are nearing completion. I've mentioned this before, this company have exceeded expectations when it comes to conservation of old buildings, they have a great multi skilled team and good sub contractors, all of which have bought into the project. Its been a joy advising the team and I wish them all the best in the future. *
