We also carry out Plumbing works. This is a recent bathroom job at a social housing development in Aberdeen. There was an issue with the old bath and tiles which resulted in leakage. The leak damaged the floor. The whole area required renovation due to this. New timber flooring, plasterboard replaced, new bath, new Aquapanel and a new shower. A iFlo Carronite bath was installed, this is a much stronger reinforced bath which is perfect for shower baths, much stronger and more sturdy that standard baths.

High level flue? No problem, we can always reach it. MEWP access at the Kepplestone development on Queens Road.
We were replacing a boiler.
When a boiler is replaced you need access externally, we often need to break away the existing cement around the old flue. The old flue is then safely removed. Once the new flue is installed we then seal around the flue with a sand and cement mix, the weather collar is then fitted.
All flues should be sealed externally and internally.
We always ensure we seal all flues correctly no matter the height or difficulty of access. Unfortunately we often come across boiler flues which have never been sealed correctly when we carry out gas safety inspections or boiler services on boilers that we’ve not installed, depending on the situation, it is often a gas safety issue and can be considered At Risk.
So if you get a quote for a boiler replacement and you have a high level flue ask the installer how they are going to reach it and ensure it’s sealed correctly.

Nice start to the week, a sunny morning out at Crathes Castle. Final site visit before we replace a section of underground pipework for one of the heated greenhouses. We’ve been carrying out a number of repairs and upgrades to the oil fired heating system this year.

Ongoing works at Crathes Castle Estate.
We’ve been working in the Greenhouses. Kieran has been working away on this one.
At this time of year when the heating fails it’s not just cold people, plants are feeling it too! Not a straight forward job in this heated greenhouse, but we are making progress and working through it.

Kyle & David Servicing Oil boilers at Leith Hall. We installed a new Worcester Bosch Oil boiler at a cottage on the estate and have been servicing the other boilers on the estate for the past 4 years. It makes for interesting work, a whole new set of challenges when working in Historic buildings!
