A couple of days spent climbing and carrying out deadwood and broken branch removal on this magnificent Wellingtonia — also known as Sequoiadendron Gigantium

These trees are the largest tree species on Earth by volume and can live for over 3,000 years. Their bark can grow up to 2 feet thick, helping protect them from fire and disease. Even a huge specimen like this is still only a fraction of the size these giants can potentially reach in the right conditions.

Work on trees like this has to be meticulous and precise to preserve the tree’s long-term health, structure, and longevity — and it’s always a privilege to work among such incredible living history.

🌲 Another great week working on some truly magnificent trees!

We’ve been carrying out deadwood removal and ivy clearance on a beautiful stand of mature Black Pine trees. 🌳

A mature cedar tree restored through a full crown clean and surroundin area management. Deadwood was removed throughout the canopy, along with outdated lighting fixtures and redundant bracing cables to improve both safety and tree integrity.

A clear halo was also established around the base, removing competing saplings and allowing the cedar improved access to light, water, and nutrients for long-term health and maturity. 🌲

It’s been a fantastic week all round, making the most of the great weather while getting stuck into new projects supporting BTS group with the new National grid contract.

Alongside that, we’ve been carefully dismantling a large poplar tree in a highly confined space, navigating lots of obstacles with great care(customers prized acer trees). Pleased to say the job is progressing smoothly with 0 casualties 😁
