What a lovely review we have just received from this customer…Sometimes, the real measure of a local business is not just the work completed on day one, but the support that is still there years later.
Here’s what the customer said:
“This is the 5* review we just never got round to writing around 7 years ago when Abingdon Bathrooms and Kitchens did a really lovely job of fitting a shower, sink and WC into what was a challengingly small space in our guest bedroom. However, yesterday we had guests coming to stay overnight and we discovered last minute (lunch time!) that when flushing the loo, water flooded out from underneath onto the floor – in a bit of a panic and guessing that an inaccessible gasket had suddenly gone, we were thinking where could we find an emergency plumber at the last minute?, and where we might also find someone reliable at this short notice… Knowing that Abingdon Bathrooms and Kitchens were close and have always been approachable and helpful in the showroom, we went to see if they would be kind enough to recommend a plumber. When our predicament was explained, Steve checked where we lived, and to our great surprise, kindly offered to pop over and just take a look to see if the cause was obvious which would at least help us to know what the problem was.”
“After looking at this with us, he was able to identify a small hole which had developed in the waste pipe though which the water leaked every time we flushed (clearly not a fault in the initial installation). Steve was able to recommend a fix we could do immediately ourselves and where we could get what was needed.”
“So yes, we were able to fix this the same afternoon (phew), we did recommend our guests to use another toilet this time – but knew that they were not going to be flooded out if they accidentally forgot!”
