What are the benefits of a New roof?

If you’re looking to sell-up, a new roof can be gold dust in the property market. It incorporates all of the benefits we’ll discuss below, and essentially sells them to the next buyer of the house for a premium – they’ll receive the aesthetic benefits and save themselves precious money and time in return for an increase in the value of your home.
Whilst the location and condition of a home widely affect the resale value of a home with a new roof, it does pay off in the eventual sale of a house. Estimates suggest that, when combined with other money-saving benefits of getting a new roof, resale can help to contribute to a return on investment of a massive 60 – 70%. This means you’ll essentially pay only a fraction of the roof price in the long run.
Energy efficiency ♨️
Heat rises. This means the roof is the place where the most heat escapes from a house, and the reason why heating bills are often higher in homes which have poorly insulated roofs.
To increase energy efficiency, a new roof should have no gaps to allow heat through. It should also be fitted with excellent quality insulation to provide an extra heat seal over the house. Even the roof colour can affect its heating abilities – in cold climates, a dark colour is best to absorb outside heat and vice versa.

A new roof could save you a couple of hours heating per cold day, and completely reduce the need in the warmer months. Monthly bills demanding lower prices will help your general wellbeing too!
