🧱 Before:
This chimney was in a critical and hazardous condition — the old chimney pots were so badly deteriorated they completely disintegrated as soon as we attempted to remove them. The flaunching had failed, leaving the pots loose and the stack compromised. In this state, the chimney posed a serious safety risk — from falling debris to water ingress and internal damage.
🛠️ After:
We carefully removed the unstable remnants, rebuilt the flaunching with a durable, weather-resistant mix, and installed two brand-new clay chimney pots. To finish the job, we fitted high-quality bird cowls — designed to prevent nesting, improve airflow, and protect the flue from rain and debris.
This chimney is now safe, secure, and future-proofed — both structurally and functionally.
💡 Reminder: Chimneys are often “out of sight, out of mind” — but left unchecked, damage can escalate quickly. If your chimney looks worn or unstable, it’s best to have it inspected before it becomes a risk.
