“Chestnuts roasting on an open fire” well not quite, but it is nearly Christmas. Pictured here are two fireplaces I tiled using Victorian tiles, the first features a black and white hearth and surround with a diamond checkerboard pattern and the second a green surround in cracked glaze tiles (Tiles supplied by Alternative Tiles of Derby)

This decorative kitchen floor looks the business. I love the way the pattern is reflected in the cabinet doors. The geometric pattern is made up of squares and triangles, and looks great in its monochrome colour scheme. Tiles supplied by Alternative Tiles of Derby.

Step right up to the wonderful world of Victorian floor tiling. Victorian floor tiling looks great outside as well as in, it can be used to create a stunning porch way, garden path or step. Victorian tiling is practical as well as stylish, the tiles are durable, strong and frost resistant, and will stand up to all weathers. I built this 2.5 metre square step from timber and cement board and finished it with a black and white diamond chequer board pattern. I've just completed my last tiling job before Christmas, a beautiful hallway floor in Victorian tiling. The pattern is made up of red, black and old London triangles and squares, and matches the existing floor tiling in the entrance hall. The tiles were supplied by Alternative Tiles of Derby.

Pictures of another Victorian tiling job I've recently completed. This time of a L shaped bathroom floor for a customer in Spondon. The trick here was keeping the pattern square in 2 directions. Floor pattern was designed and the tiles supplied by Alternative Tiles of Derby.

This little floor took me 4 days to complete, and took a lot of concentration and attention to detail to get it right. At Sawley Tiling we do more than just put tiles up, we take them down as well! It took me just a couple of hours to remove the wall & floor tiles from this en-suite bathroom in Borrowash. I’ll be back in a weeks time, after the walls have been skimmed, to retile the floor and walls.

Recently completed Kitchen splash back for a customer in Kegworth. Ivory white Metro tiles with grey grout and stainless steel trim around the window.
