Happy tartan day!
After completing two kilt commissions, I'm now back to setting up my loom to weave the Snowdrop Tartan. This time around, it's going to be made into a new product for a customer. 15% of each sale of the Snowdrop Tartan is donated to Strathcarron Hospice.

Yesterday was such an inspiring and uplifting day at the awards. I'm truly honoured to have been a finalist for the Fashion Textile Maker of the Year Award. It means so much to be recognised alongside so many incredible makers who are keeping heritage craft skills alive with such passion and dedication. Congratulations to winner and fellow finalist .

Huge thanks to for the nomination and heartfelt thanks to Heritage Crafts for all that they do.

Special thanks go to Louise for so generously gifting me the jacket. It was such a full-circle moment as I designed the Highland Mist tartan while working as Design Manager for . To be able to wear it, along with my handsewn kilt to such an event, was truly special.

11 metres of handwoven Clackmannanshire tartan is currently soaking in warm water. I'm patiently waiting for it to be washed and completely finished so I can get on with the next stages.

Thrilled to receive photos from Fiona and Jack (featuring Pepsi the labrador) on their wedding day earlier this month.
Working together, we created a unique tartan that tells their story and will last for generations to come. Congratulations, Mr & Mrs Reilly!

My first kilt was completed a couple of weeks ago. I absolutely loved learning the process on a small scale. This kilt was pleated to the stripe. I've now moved on to a full-size adult's kilt, which is pleated to the sett. Something new to learn in every kilt.
