We removed an old rotten 3-foot fence and replaced it with a brand-new 5-foot boarded fence, giving the garden added privacy, security, and a much smarter finish. We also included a boarded section to neatly hide away the bins.

⭐A great transformation completed today for Butterworth Dental Practice!
This garden had become heavily overgrown and was in need of some serious attention. ⭐

We have cleared the area right back, removed the overgrowth, and given the space a fresh start ready for Phase 2 – whatever exciting plans are decided for it next.

💪 A lot of effort went into this one. 🚛 Plenty of green waste removed and responsibly disposed of. 🌱

A much cleaner, tidier, and more usable space ready for its next chapter.

⭐️A really rewarding project completed this week at Swansfield Park Primary School — my old school, so it was great to be able to give something back personally. ⭐️

The area had become very run down over the years, with damaged and rotten fencing, poor drainage and water pooling in several areas, so it was in need of a complete refresh.

We carried out a full landscape transformation including:
✅ Levelling and preparing the area
✅ Installing drainage to solve the waterlogging issues
✅ Timber sleeper retainers to separate the sections
✅ Bark chippings in the lower section
✅ Artificial turf in the upper section to create a safer, softer play area for the children
✅ Brand new fencing
✅ Construction of a new shed
It’s been a fantastic project to work on and hopefully the children and staff can enjoy the space for many years to come.

☑️We will be returning to complete the shed by adding felt to the roof and to erect another 3 foot fence.

We recently completed a full garden tidy-up and landscaping project for a customer’s son, who has recently purchased a property in Alnwick and is preparing it for the rental market.

This project involved a complete rear garden overhaul, including:

Another transformation completed for one of our regular maintenance customers 🌿

The brief was simple – create a lower-maintenance garden that still looks clean and well-presented all year round. We started by clearing out several w**ds and removing unwanted plants from the borders to give the space a fresh start.

To help keep things tidy going forward, we applied bark chippings across the borders. This not only gives a neat, natural finish but also helps suppress future w**d growth 🌱
To complete the job, we installed EverEdge flexible border edging around the entire garden. This creates a sharp, professional edge while keeping the bark securely in place for a long-lasting result.

JY Gardening Services Ltd is looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our growing garden & landscaping business on a temporary basis, with the potential for ongoing work and increased hours for the right person.

📍 Work in and around Alnwick / Northumberland

We carry out a wide range of services including:
• Garden maintenance
• Hedge cutting & reductions
• Lawn care
• Fencing
• Landscaping projects
• General outdoor improvement work

We’re looking for someone who:
✔️ Holds a full UK driving licence (essential)
✔️ Has experience in gardening/landscaping (preferred but not essential – willingness to learn is just as important)
✔️ Can work independently and as part of a team
✔️ Takes pride in their work with good attention to detail
✔️ Has strong timekeeping and time management skills
✔️ Is reliable and hard-working
✔️ Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
✔️ Is physically fit, as the role can be demanding

Another transformation completed by JY Gardening Services Ltd 🌿

We were recently contacted by a customer whose garden had become completely overrun with w**ds, borders that were no longer manageable and two lawns in poor condition. They needed a fresh start and a low-maintenance solution—and that’s exactly what we delivered.

🔹 Front garden: We removed the existing lawn and installed a heavy-duty w**d membrane, finished with Alpine Blue gravel for a clean, modern look.

🔹 Timber work: Old, rotten planters were removed and replaced with a brand new raised sleeper bed, filled with fresh soil and ready for planting. We also rebuilt the rear bed to match.

🔹 Borders: All borders were turned over and thoroughly w**ded, removing large amounts of ground elder and other unwanted plants. We then finished them with bark chippings to suppress future w**d growth and keep maintenance to a minimum.

🔹 Rear garden: The newly built bed was also finished with Alpine Blue gravel for a consistent, tidy finish.

🔹 Lawn care: The rear lawn was full of moss and thatch, so we carried out a full scarification and treatment to help bring it back to life.

The result is a much more manageable, low-maintenance space that’s ready for the next phase—a bespoke planting scheme 🌱
