NINA D is an award winning luxury tableware brand based in Cheshire with Nina’s hand illustrated designs, inspired by her Swedish upbringing and family traditions. I produce high quality homeware products inspired by my Swedish upbringing and family traditions. Each design is named after a person or a place close to my heart in Sweden. Meticulously hand illustrated, this collection features a rang

e of bespoke patterns. Unique textures within each ornately layered, two-dimensional design. I have lived in England for twenty five years and today I live in Altrincham. My range includes large and medium placemats with matching round and square coasters. My designs have also been produced on Swedish birch wood serving trays by the renowned tray manufacturer Åry Trays. The linen napkins and table runners are handmade by a small family business in Lithuania, using 100% flax linen with my brand name beautifully hand embroidered in rose gold. All my products have included sustainably sourced materials which is important to me. My homeware range captures the essence of Scandinavian tradition where dining is cherished and a time to re-connect with loved ones. My Swedish family take great pride in setting the table and their inspiration is at the heart of my exquisite range. Each order comes beautifully gift wrapped with a personal handwritten note. The courtyards in Stockholm’s Old Town 🧡

Vibrant colours, warmth and welcoming. This part of the city is always so busy with visitors but these quarters are also home life to families and city folks. I absolutely adore these narrow streets and architectural spaces.

These sets of three hand illustrated postcards are going into goody bags for an exclusive interior design event here in Cheshire.

When I open a goody bag at an event, I want to find something charming, personal and useful - not just a bunch of leaflets (they’ll just go in the bin). So I thought a set of post cards to write a little message and post to your loved one, attach to a gift or bouquet of flowers. Maybe simply on your notice board for brightening up the work space 🌷

The tag has a hand written message and this feels so much more personal, don’t you think?

Every design begins with a memory.

Some are rooted in places woven into my childhood - time spent at my grandparents’ home, or special corners of Stockholm where colour, architecture and pattern left a lasting impression on me.

Those memories become the starting point for my work in the studio, translated into thoughtful designs intended to bring warmth and meaning to the table.

In a world that moves so quickly, I believe mealtimes should be a chance to pause - to put technology aside, be in the moment, and reconnect properly through conversation, food and togetherness.

Creating pieces that encourage us to slow down and enjoy the present is what inspires me most.

Every design I create begins by hand and is inspired by a place, a memory, or a person connected to my home in Sweden.

Ida-Lilja is named and inspired by my mother, who is the true ignition behind Nina D. Her creativity, warmth, and inspiration for beauty in the home shaped so much of how I see design today.

I grew up surrounded by traditions entered around gathering - beautifully set tables, flowers picked from the garden, candlelight through the long winters, and generations who valued creating a welcoming home for family and friends.

That feeling of warmth, softness, and togetherness is something I try to bring into every piece I paint.
