*SEASONAL UPDATE*
Please see below for current lawn care advice and guidance.
If you need any further explanation pls ask.
I HAVE SEVERAL MOWING SLOTS AVAILABLE
please contact me ASAP if you’d like me to mow for you. I charge £12, £15 or £18.
Please also read the following to see what you should be doing with your lawn at this time of year 👍🏻😁
Fertiliser
Every lawn needs fertiliser - every time your lawn is mowed, nutrients (and moisture) are taken from it.
If you haven’t had fertiliser applied yet this year or in the last 2-3 months then now is certainly the time. Please contact me in advance to book these treatments in over the coming weeks. There is a current threat of Red Thread infestation and fertiliser is the best prevention and cure as it happens. Red thread aside though- every lawn needs to be fertilised in order for it to remain healthy.
Weedkiller
If you’re lucky enough to have only a few weeds, use a ready mixed spot fertiliser spray.
If you have many weeds covering several areas in your lawn then apply a soluble weedkiller over the entire lawn. Please contact me to book this treatment in- it is cheap and I have plenty in stock 👍🏻
Aeration
I am happy to aerate your lawn if conditions are right- perfect to be done with fertiliser- pls ask for a price if you’re interested. Don’t hesitate to ask if you want me to explain the benefits. Basically, you can’t aerate enough!
Watering
Water your lawn 2-3 times per week to avoid scorching/browning. DO NOT water in the evening as this can encourage Red Thread.
Mowing
THE most important treatment of all!! Keep your mower clean and blade sharp- and mow at least every 10-14 days. I can’t stress enough how mowing weekly can improve the thickness of your lawn. In hot conditions as we’re experiencing now mow high to preserve moisture and encourage longer root growth… if you’re a dog owner or have a lawn that pools in wet conditions mowing longer helps this also. Please contact me if you want me to mow for you 👍🏻
