WELCOME!
CCID has had a flurry of new followers after our recent award success at the UK Property Awards.
So, thought I would reintroduce myself as the face behind the company: Cassandra Chessum Interior Design.
I’m Cassandra, but most people call me Cassie. This is me in the photo over new year in the Cotswolds.
I was born into a large family of antiques dealers and textile designers. It’s fair to say that interior design is in my blood.
So, it is no surprise that my earliest memories involve trailing after my parents as they searched for antiques in Chelsea.
For as long as I can remember, I have always been interested in architecture, design and interiors.
After buying and renovating an 18th century thatched cottage by the coast, I decided to turn my passion into a career.
Before studying interior design, I worked for 15 years in sustainability and the built environment.
As a Director of a Public Affairs, I worked on projects related to climate change, energy, water and responsible sourcing.
Throughout my career to date, I have gained a set of transferable skills, making me an excellent project manager.
This ensures that I am well placed to complete interior design projects to time and to budget.
Plus my shrewd negotiating skills ensure that I can negotiate competitive prices with suppliers and trades people.
Outside of work, I am a devoted mother to two gorgeous children. I love swimming and sailing, as well as Pilates.
I split my time between the cosmopolitan city of London and the stunning coast and countryside of Devon and Cornwall.
