Had an enquiry earlier today which would have been a great earner coming up to Christmas but morally I couldn’t bring myself to do it. The request for quote was to build a 18 ft wall around the abbey gate car park, basically a barricade from the town centre. Some of you would have seen all the commotion on Arbroath online regarding a fence that has been put in place. There are already reports of the elderly falling which has only reiterated my decision.

I sympathise with the owner as it directly affects his business however if any of my family were hurt due to his antics I’d be all over that mo********er.

Suggestion - a barricade similar to what you would see arriving into Dundee train station, passes provided to those who struggle to walk around. An attendant role would create a job in the town. You could charge tickets for those who wished and donate the money to charity. Just a thought.
