Storms along our coastline can test even the strongest structures, and recently one local property experienced just how powerful the sea can be. Severe waves damaged sections of the surrounding foundations and sea wall but one element remained firmly in place: the glass balustrade installed by the Esk team.

Built with durability, safety, and long-term performance in mind, the balustrade was designed not just to look good, but to withstand the harsh coastal conditions that properties in our region regularly face. Situations like this are a powerful reminder that quality installation and the right materials are not simply aesthetic choices they are structural decisions that matter when conditions become extreme.

We’re proud to see our work continue to perform exactly as intended, helping keep properties safe even in challenging environments. It’s another example of why careful planning, experienced installation, and trusted craftsmanship make all the difference when investing in your home.

Supporting the people behind the industry is just as important as the work itself.

At Esk, we’re proud to continue supporting Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity, an organisation doing incredible work across the UK and Ireland providing emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to those working in construction and their families.

Construction is an industry built on hard work, long days and dedication, and it’s vital that the people who keep it moving have somewhere to turn when they need support. From the 24/7 confidential helpline and wellbeing resources to awareness campaigns throughout the year, Lighthouse continues to make a real difference to thousands of lives.

We’re proud to play a small part in supporting such an important cause and helping raise awareness of the services available to those who may need them.

Together, we can keep building not only stronger projects but a stronger industry for everyone.

Close to home this time, we were working in Arbroath, fitting 8 new white PVC windows for a customer looking to freshen up the property and make it more comfortable.

They went for a classic white finish, which really lifts the look of the house while keeping things bright and timeless. More importantly, with the wet, windy weather we’ve been having, these new windows will make a big difference to heat retention and energy bills no more draughts creeping in.

A simple upgrade, but one that pays off every day. Great result and another local home ready to face the Scottish weather.

This job came to us at exactly the right time.

Our customer had just bought her new home and was in the middle of a full renovation when it became clear the windows and doors at the back of the property were in serious condition. Once the old units were removed, the guys uncovered rot in the frames one of those things you don’t see until the work actually starts.

It’s never ideal news, but it’s far better to catch it early and deal with it properly.
Now, the difference is night and day. No more draughts, no more worries about heat escaping, and a clean, modern finish that completely changes how the back of the house looks and feels. The new picture window floods the space with light, and the French doors open the home up beautifully.

One less thing to worry about during a renovation and a home that’s warmer, brighter and ready for the next chapter.

January is usually about easing back in. For us, it’s been about getting straight to it.

Over the past few weeks, the team have been back across Angus, Dundee and beyond installing windows and doors, working on detailed traditional properties, progressing larger projects, and getting stuck into jobs that need care, patience and proper craftsmanship.

We’ve seen everything from full house upgrades to bespoke work on older buildings, along with behind-the-scenes preparation that most people never see but makes all the difference when the finished job goes in.

What’s stood out most this month is the people. Customers trusting us in their homes. The lads turning up day after day, whatever the weather throws at them. And the steady progress of projects that we’re genuinely proud to be part of.

January has set the tone for the year ahead and if this month is anything to go by, 2026 is shaping up to be a busy one.

Thanks to everyone who’s been part of it so far. Onwards we go.

Some homes just have something about them, and this Dundee property was one of those. Beautiful setting, big views, and a layout that really deserves the right windows to show it off.

Our customer wanted a cleaner, brighter finish that would suit the character of the house but bring it up to date. These large white PVC windows have completely changed how the place feels more light, sharper lines, and a proper modern look without losing the charm.

We also upgraded more windows throughout the house so everything flows together properly. No patchwork, just a consistent finish that feels thought through.

Although the weather caused it problems the guys ploughed through to get this one over the line well done team

There’s something quietly satisfying about seeing a whole house come together like this.

Our customer in Angus wanted a fresh, modern look for their home, but also something that would make a real difference day-to-day. A full house of new white PVC windows has done exactly that clean lines, brighter rooms, and a big lift in energy efficiency.

It’s not just about how it looks from the street (although it definitely stands out now). These windows will help keep the heat in, cut down on draughts and noise, and make the house a more comfortable place to be especially with Scottish winters doing their thing.

Projects like this are why we love what we do. Local homes, real people, proper upgrades that last.

All finished at the bowling club and we’re genuinely delighted with the outcome. From the first day on site you could see how much pride the club takes in the place, so it’s been a pleasure helping improve the changing room facilities with a full new set of windows. Another local project we’re proud to be involved in.

Another view from our recent job on this traditional home in Angus this time captured on video.

It’s great to see how the new windows sit so well with the character of the property, bringing a fresh, modern finish without losing what makes the home what it is.

Yesterday the team got started at the Bowling Club on West Newgate in Arbroath.

The changing room facilities are now getting a full new set of windows, and it’s great to be part of such a positive local transformation. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell how much pride the club takes in its space from the size of the building to the quality of the green itself, everything reflects the care and effort that’s gone into it over the years.

We’re looking forward to seeing the full difference these new windows will make and sharing the finished result with you all at the start of next week.

It’s always a pleasure working with clubs and organisations that care as much about their surroundings as they do about their community.

This one’s a great example of old meeting new done right.
The customer got in touch because they loved the character of their traditional home here in Angus, but they wanted a cleaner, more modern finish without losing what made the place special in the first place.

After talking through the options, they settled on these crisp white uPVC windows and the difference they’ve made is massive. The fresh white frames lift the whole look of the property, sharpen the lines, and give it that modern feel, all while keeping the charm of the original stonework.

Father and son team Kevin and Drew carried out the install, and as always, they took real pride in the job. It’s the kind of work that doesn’t just look good when it’s finished it makes the home warmer, more comfortable and more energy-efficient for the family living in it.

That’s what we love about this job.
Real homes. Real people. Real improvements that make everyday life better.

Thanks again to the customer for trusting us with your home it was a pleasure to be part of your upgrade.
