Unfortunately I feel a response is needed to a noticeable trend i see developing.
I'd say over the past year (it's been happening a lot longer) a high percentage of jobs I've quoted for have been ignored by the recipients. A lot of time wasted on site visits and after hrs on PC calculating, preparing and sending emails. No acknowledgement or reply. A simple "thanks for your quote, ill get back to you in due course" would suffice.
In business i understand that my quotes may be outwith people's budget and they will proceed with a cheaper price...fair enough but to get no reply then drive past weeks later and the house is painted is unacceptable and frustrating!! Its ignorance with no regard how that impacts a small business.
At this moment I have 4 quotes sent with no response.
Going forward if you request a quotation can you at least acknowledge the time and effort put in to YOUR job, i appreciate the opportunity to quote but don't appreciate you making me feel used.
PS every job i undertake i do so to the best of my ability, use the best materials possible and treat the job as if my own property. Rarely I make a mistake with figures/charges and if i do its not intential. I have a business to run not a charity and have learned a lesson recently that won't be repeated.
Regards to all my decent customers who make it all worthwhile, the best.
