I had some time off from my part time day job in January and it helped to spark a very small creative fire in my brain. Found myself wanting to pick bits up in the afternoons after I returned to work, wanting to start and finish some ideas at the weekends. This was all I was looking for really, showing up. It was tough though, January, really grey. Glad to have started the new month off with teaching something I love. Maybe I’ll do a post about that.

A little at-home screen printing workshop this weekend testing ideas for future workshops.
I used to be a university print and dye technician, and teaching is something I’m excited to be doing more of as I move into a new chapter.

This Sunday I’ll be taking my kit up to Sunny Bank Mills, for a creative mini prints session and I can’t wait.

Some bits and bobs on the print table today. Playful and spontaneous imagery. Using the same stencil across a range of fabric textures and paper. It’s the perfect temperature to work in the conservatory/studio/Nerf Gun and Lego room so I had a few happy hours with my head phones on this afternoon. (It did mean we had our tea very late)

Summer has been fun so far, still a week ish before my kids go back to school. Lawn care 2025 has been a flop but I’ve been on a cruise, had my youngest turn 10, used the Yorkshire seaside to cure my dizziness, watched lots of TV, have a broken hoover and played a game on my phone where I organise colourful buses.

I’ve finally updated my Etsy shop with all the bits I have. T-shirts, indoor wreaths, mini wall hangings and these textile pieces mounted to card.

People tend to say something about postage before Christmas now. But I don’t know, if you have your eye on something and you want it to gift it to a loved one or match a new sofa for Christmas Day then consider whether Royal Mail will have enough time to get it to you.

Hello Tuesday! I’m slowly updating my Etsy shop with the items I made for this years markets. Like these wall hangings, they’re around A4 sort of size so perfect for filling that gap on a wall. They’re ready to hang but could be framed if preferred

✨Wall hangings✨ I was so happy to see some happy customers take some wall hangings home last weekend. At Craft Fair Contemporary this weekend I’ll have these guys with me, perfect for that space at the top of your stairs or centre stage in your living space.

New product ✨ a sew your own embroidery kit! I’ve been teasing this for a while but lots are ready and finding their way to my market stall this weekend at

What is it? A kit to allow you to embroider and enhance one of my screen printed designs. This is the Bilberry design (inspo from visiting Yorkshire countryside and Brimham) It’s a 3 colour print, with one layer to sew on top of with thread. It’s quite a loose design so wiggly sewing is just as great as stitches that follow the lines

What’s in the bag? Instructions on the stitch and setting up, 7 inch hoop for sewing but can be used to frame the design when you’re finished, 1 colour thread, an embroidery needle and finally the screen printed fabric. It’s big enough that you could frame it afterwards (or finish it in the hoop)

I’m excited to see what reaction these get at my upcoming markets!

Oooh new product! Taking these with me on Saturday to in Sheffield. Screen printed fabric wreath, for indoor use on doors and mirrors and maybe over your grand fireplaces. They’re about 30cm ish and they’re printed on a beautiful reclaimed natural linen.

They’ll be £20 at the market, let me know if you’d like one sending out to you! I can make to order and for a little postage fee a piece of textiles can arrive on your doorstep!

This is my new workspace with a new desk my husband has made, with the option of adjusting the height so if I’m printing I don’t have to stoop down. This is an upgrade for my back and my dining room, no more piles of sketchbooks or tubs of print paste in there anymore.

Earlier today the sun came out for the briefest of moments and the sky was blue right at the moment I was printing. It was a nice feeling to have my own tiny little studio space and a bit of sunshine. It will be freezing in there soon and boiling hot in the summer but I have a space!

November is a busy one! Hopefully feeling all festive 🎄and full of excited chats about Christmas (what time you wake up, when do you open your gifts, do you eat chocolate for breakfast etc)

Then I’ll be packing all my market stuff up and opening a bottle of Baileys (a 1st Dec tradition in our house)
