More gutter grid issues today.

Gutter grids are just as bad as Gutter hedgehog brush. The plants root through the grids, see pics. I have also been busy clearing drainage on a green roof.

A bit of Jet washing today whilst waiting for my water pump for Window cleaning to get replaced. The ☀️ was even out for some of the day.

All the Gutters from today's job had hedgehog brush in. Doesn't really seem to keep the leaves out does it, the last pic you can see it is solid with moss and leaves and was surprisingly heavy, restricting water flow and putting weight on all the guttering. I removed all and cleaned all gutters and replaced a couple of brackets and siliconed all the gutter brackets. Customer very happy.

I am often asked if having Guttering Hedgehog brush like in the pics is a good thing to have. In my opinion No. As you can see in the pic everything just breaks down and sits inside the brush and again your gutter is blocked and restricting water flow. The best thing for your gutter is keeping it clean with annual cleans.

Keep your Gutters clean to save £££ on expensive drainage company call outs. If the blockage goes below ground level you will need to get into drainage clearance normally at costs of multiples of £100. That annual gutter clean can make all the difference to never needing to clear below ground.
