Dead Beech tree dismantle in Staplehurst today

This mature Copper Beech was victim to Armillaria commonly known as honey fungus
Mycelium & rhizomophs have been present in large volumes
This tree was in major decline & due to high risk surroundings limb failures would have been imminent.
A prompt removal was agreed & all timber was cut into splittable/managable sizes for this years log burner
