Listed Building Consent and Advertisement Consent granted for a building in one of the oldest part of Ashford.

Did you know that if you are replacing a fascia sign on a shop or business, you do not usually require permission from the local planning authority *unless* the building is listed or the top of the fascia is more than 4.6m above ground, or the sign is illuminated.

For the longest time we had velcro blackout material and privacy film on our bedroom windows. When we finally got the shutters fitted it felt like such a luxury!

They were on a mega long lead time (about 12 weeks) as apparently they are all made in China. Would be really interested to know if anyone has used a UK manufacturer.

Shutters are by no means cheap, especially for bay windows. I've seen people do a DIY option where you measure and install them yourself but I a) didn't trust myself and b) did NOT have the time!

This chair is deceptively large, and is something my husband owned before I met him over 10 years ago. Safe to say he's resisted it being rehomed many a time.

Shutters were supplied and installed by - I like to use local companies where I can and John actually lives down our road!

Lesser spotted parts of Ashford. I'm very fortunate that I get to walk to work (when I'm not working from home) and a lot of our projects at the moment are in the town centre.

There are some really lovely parts of Ashford tucked away that you might not even notice if you aren't specifically looking at old buildings 🤣 This is just a few doors down from us in the Churchyard.
