Cannot wait to see these little perennials grow and fill up the space, and see the little grass seedlings sprouting.

Spring is just the best time. 💚

Well, it's been a wet one, windy one, a really wet one, freezing, then slightly warmer and finally we have had sunshine! Alas, more rain to come but Spring is almost here! Thank goodness!

As you probably know, I adore my role as a gardener. My days are always full of variety and really lovely people. One of my jobs is to keep these birdies topped up with food. I think they approve! 🐦🥰 🐦

Today a robot mower stole my rake and ran off with it. Never a dull moment in this line of work. 😂💚🌿

You have done well my young grass seed... no more wavy border! Just need to add bark to the circular areas around the rose plants.

To prepare the area for new grass -
1) w**ded the existing wavy flower bed (I also added the stone themed border, w**d membraned along it and then added bark)
2) levelled out the bed area with soil from the back garden - 10 wheelbarrow loads!
3) seeding, seeding, seeding!
4) gently raked the seed into the soil whilst asking it nicely to grow.
5) watered the area and prayed to the grass seed goblins.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together! 😎💚🌿

I think I blinked and suddenly October happened! My youngest son has happily settled into Reception, my oldest son is smashing sixth form and I've been busy gardening my socks off. 😎🌿💚
