Not a single gate in sight… 🤔

“What do you mean Patron don’t just do gates?”

Guess who ends up doing the social posts… and what side of the business they’re actually in 😅

Here’s something a bit different. We’ve just finished this outdoor setup for an existing customer who’s created a great space for family and friends.

As always, it starts with the bit no one sees… the network. New fibre runs back to the house, then distributed across the outbuilding and garden using fibre & Ubiquiti, so everything just works properly.

From there, it all comes together:
• Sonos for audio
• Lutron lighting
• Texecom security
• Hikvision CCTV

We’ve installed Sony Pro TVs, paired with Blustream and Apple TV, so both areas can run together or separately all over fibre for a flawless picture.

And instead of a pile of remotes and apps, it’s all brought into one simple system with Control4.

Automated sliding gate for a school in Kent

We were approached by the school to repair their existing sliding gate. We were presented with a palisade sliding gate well past its best, with absolutely no safety devices whatsoever.

The existing gate had been damaged, and rodents had destroyed the existing cable infrastructure.

After discussions with the team at the school, we proposed a new sliding gate utilising the existing running tracks, but incorporating all the relevant safety requirements.

We supplied and installed a new sliding gate, roll-back fencing, all new cabling within underground ducting, and new automation, all covered under warranty.

Some of the control equipment was located in various parts of the school, with limited or no access out of hours should there have been a problem. As part of the project, we relocated all control equipment to the gate so that, should there be an issue in the future, engineers can gain access at all times.

The school now has a gate that is in keeping with the site, meets the correct safety requirements, and can be worked on without disturbing staff or pupils at any time of day.

Square top metal framed gates with a composite insert.

Not all of our gates are automated and as you can see, they still look amazing! As you can see the installation team take great pride in their work and how we leave the property.

This particular range of gates can be finished with a softwood, iroko hardwood or composite insert and comes as standard with a 7 year life expectancy on the powder coated finish.

We've designed our range of gates so they are future ready for automation with mitred box section framework to allow cabling to be concealed within the frame for items such as safety, maglocks or electronic drop bolts. Automated gates can be a large investment but that doesn't mean you cant start with a purpose built set of manual gates and convert them at a later date without the need for additional safety features and unsightly cable runs.

Some decorative iron gates weve recently fabricated and installed for a customer of ours who was looking for a 'freshen up' of their existing entrance.

The new gates were designed to closely match the existing set of gates with subtle design changes and a powder coated finish for a longer lasting finish. The existing automation was used along with the brick hinge arrangement allowing a fresh new look with a cost saving option.

Square topped sliding gate with a composite insert weve recently installed using CAME automation.

When it comes to sliding gates... we openly admit we don't do it that the same way as everyone else. Having been in the 'automation' world for 15 years we think its safe to say weve seen many ways to install sliding gates and how NOT to install them. We've chosen to install our gates on a completely solid foundation so that 'should' any movement occur in the years after the installation our system stays together in a modular fashion. No bolting tracks to block paving or trying to bed a running track in a bed of sand and cement which is on top of....mud!

For us, as cheesy as it sounds, we'd like to be working with our customers for years to come not just install and runaway, so the systems are design and built to last.

That's why we're also selective of the products we offer, with the automation being done through CAME we can offer a 5 year warranty on the automation products when part of our annual servicing plan.

This gate also features A*O safety equipment for the safe use of the gate and an AES intercom which allows the home owner to be notified when a visitor is at the gate, allow them access into the property as well as other features such as hold open functions and temporary access codes for contractors or deliveries.

OK OK! So weve been quiet on the socials... its been a busy few months!

Here's an install weve recently completed. A steel frame set of swing gate with a soft wood insert. In our gate brochure you'll find these under our 'Best' range. We offer these with not only a softwood insert but Iroko hardwood and composite panelling with a choice of 4 colours. All of our metal work is powder coated with a life expectancy of 7 years!

The above gates have been automated with Beninca Tom motors. Which if serviced annually offer up to a 5 year warranty with us.

We've also installed an AES intercom to notify the home owner of visitors which also has an integrated keypad, hold open function the ability to give temporary access without the need of giving out fobs. A great addition to any automated gate system.

SECTIONAL ELITE GARAGE DOORS

Another garage.. or 4 😅 secured using SWS UK SecuroGlide Sectional Elite garage doors.

Following our recent post about the roller shutter doors we installed a few weeks back weve had quite a few enquiries from people not aware that we offer garage doors as a service 🤦‍♂️.

So here's another example of the premium garage doors we installed last week! This customer went for the dark grey door surrounds and a bold Ruby red for the main sections!

7 years warranty on the drive gear, 7 years warranty on the control gear, 5 years warranty on the finish and 5 years on the mechanisms... fully customisable colour options... why wouldn't you use them?
