This includes lock fitting, lock changes, locks for upvc windows and doors, lock opening and servicing. We DO NOT charge by the hour. Be sure to use a local locksmith and NOT an agency.

Back to work with a vengeance with the arrival of the New Year. Still serving Ashford and the surrounding villages. All work is pre-priced so there is no nasty surprise when the invoice is presented. All domestic and business premise locks are catered for.

Winter is closing in slowly but surely. Give your locks a boost with a bit of oil, I use GT85. Try to insert the red straw into an opening in the lock and give a spray then operate the lock a few times. Works especially well on multipoint locks.

Lots of new builds in the area are fitted with composite front doors with multipoint locking mechanisms. These are normally set up so that you must use a key to enter but please remember that this is not enough to secure your property properly. You should get in the habit of lifting the handle and turning the key or thumbturn to double lock the door otherwise entry can be gained in seconds. These locks provide excellent security but only when used correctly.
