Bit of an unusual one this morning. Woken up by the 2 local boisterous crows chasing a grey squirrel around the garden, he's since made an escape to the house and is doing circles around the eaves. Hoping he can make his escape back to the woods later this evening

It's finally happened, the green demon is out of commission due to the clippings bag and is starting to look a bit like triggers broom.

Thankfully we have this new tank to get your lawns looking good!

We just hope it fits through everyone's gates 🤔

The greenhouse got a bit full, so we spent the weekend making a 3 tier cold frame that will double as a greenhouse for tomato season. Now the cold frames full, it's a never ending cycle

**free plants**
Fancy a go at growing your own? We have some spare fruit & veg plants if anyone is in need. These aren't hardened off yet so will need to be kept in a greenhouse or windowsill when it's cold out until the end of May.

We have pumpkins, courgettes, melons, cucumbers and raspberry canes left.

Just send us a message and we'll put some aside

We're quickly running out of space in the greenhouse, so we've had to quickly mangle together a cold frame to move some stuff out. Still going to the garden centre at the weekend though!

It's a bit wet out today, but the ground definatly needed it!
Just means we get a little extra time to pot up in the greenhouse.

It's an ideal time to nip out the growing tips on your petunias etc to promote bushier, fuller plants

Sick of paying for plants? This is how to turn a single surfinia petunia into many. This works for most plants and will multiply your supply (and save your ££)

Select your plant, we love surfinia petunias as they can give you 1 meter long cascades of flowers all summer long in your hanging baskets, they're also quite expensive to buy a few of.

As these are branded petunias you can only propagate cuttings for personal use and not sale.

Take 3-4 inch cuttings and tear off the bottom leaves, this will produce scar tissue that readily sprouts roots.

Dip the bottom stem in rooting hormone. This is optional but increases the chances of success.

Plant 2-3 in a pot with well draining damp compost.

Cover with a propagator lid to maintain high humidity, if you don't have a lid you can use a clear plastic bag over the top.

Place them in a bright warm area, out of direct sunlight.

In 2-3 weeks roots should start to form, then split them into different pots to grow on!
