🌿 Right… I’m dropping TWO videos today because I’ve been absolutely rubbish at keeping up with them this week 🤣🙈

The truth is, we’ve just been SO busy!

This week has been a proper mixed bag of jobs and honestly feels like it’s flown by in the blink of an eye 😅

🌸 Planting fresh orders as they come in
🌿 Getting floral displays out into your towns and villages
🌱 Planting up winter stock so it’s ready to flower at exactly the right time
🚚 Deliveries heading out
🧺 Hanging baskets being made
🌳 And of course, making sure the retail area — where YOU spend your time wandering around — is looking its absolute best for the weekend

It’s one of those times of year where there’s never enough hours in the day 😂

Early mornings.
Late nights.
Long days.

But honestly? We wouldn’t have it any other way 💚

There’s something really special about seeing the nursery full of life, watching plants leave in your cars, seeing our displays brighten up local communities and knowing that all the hard work is worth it.

And right now… the nursery is looking spectacular 😍🌿☀️

The sun is shining, the stock is looking fantastic and we’re ready for another brilliant weekend.

With the sunshine finally making an appearance, the nursery is looking absolutely incredible right now. Every glasshouse is packed with colour, our benches are overflowing with beautiful plants, and there really is something special around every corner.

🌿 WE’RE SO CLOSE TO 11,000 FOLLOWERS! 🌿

As I write this, we’re sat at 10,940 followers… which means we’re only 60 people away from reaching 11,000. 😆

But for me, this has never really been about the numbers.

When I look at that figure, I don’t see followers. I see thousands of people who have chosen to be part of our journey.

Many of you have been with us for years. Some of you remember visiting us as children and now bring your own families. Others have only recently discovered us and become part of the Woolley Moor Nurseries family.

What started as a passion for growing plants has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

Today, Woolley Moor Nurseries is still a family-run business at heart. We still grow the vast majority of the plants we sell right here in Derbyshire. We still get excited when a crop looks particularly good. We still celebrate busy weekends, worry about the weather, and take enormous pride in helping people create beautiful gardens.

The thing I’m most proud of isn’t the plants, the buildings, or even the growth of the business.

It’s the community.

The friendly chats.
The familiar faces.
The customers who have become friends.
The support you’ve shown us through the highs, the challenges, and everything in between.

Every like, comment, share and visit genuinely means the world to us.

🌿 Another day, another few thousand plants on the move! 🚛🌸

Today’s video started with an early morning delivery heading over to Thoresby Hall.

We’ve been working with Thoresby for well over 20 years, and it’s one of those relationships that we’re incredibly proud of 💚

It’s always a pleasure to pop across and see the team there, especially when we’re delivering thousands of beautiful plants that will soon be transformed into stunning displays for visitors to enjoy 🌸

Every year it’s amazing seeing the finished result and knowing that the plants started life right here at Woolley Moor Nurseries 🌿

As soon as I got back though, there was no time for hanging around 😅

It was straight onto making more traditional moss hanging baskets 😍🧺

There’s something really satisfying about making these by hand. They take time, care and a fair bit of skill, but the finished result is always worth it.

Then it was onto the main job of the day…

Me, Christian and Cole spent the afternoon preparing everything ready to start putting up our hanging baskets around your towns and villages 🌸

I won’t lie, the weather has knocked us a little behind this year. Growing plants outdoors is never straightforward and this season has certainly kept us on our toes 🙃🌦️

But despite the challenges, the baskets are looking absolutely fantastic and we’re really excited to start getting them out into your communities 💚

Over the next few weeks you’ll hopefully start spotting them appearing everywhere, bringing colour and brightening up the places we all live and work.

And if you see us out and about putting them up…

We’ll probably be covered in compost, hanging off a ladder or unloading another trolley of plants… but we’ll wave back 😂🌿

🌿 Last week… honestly? It just feels like one big blur 😂🌿

You know those weeks where you sit down on a Sunday evening and genuinely wonder where the last seven days have gone?

That was this week 😅

🌧️ The weather couldn’t decide what it wanted to do.
🚛 Local authorities were collecting thousands of plants.
🌸 We planted an incredible 14,000 plants in a single day for Amber Valley Borough Council.
🧺 More traditional moss basket orders kept coming in (so we kept making them!).
🌿 We had an AMAZING new delivery arrive which we’ll be showing you more of this week.
🌺 And we’ve officially started getting our own council displays planted up and ready to head out into towns and villages.

When I list it all out like that, it’s no wonder the week disappeared 🤣

One thing I absolutely love about this time of year is that the nursery is buzzing with activity. Everywhere you look there’s something happening. Plants being grown, baskets being made, deliveries heading out and displays being planted.

It’s chaotic.
It’s exhausting.
And honestly… I wouldn’t change it for the world 💚

The only thing I’d like is a few extra hours in the day… or maybe a couple more days in the week 🤣🙃

Cole sniggers and says “you look like the Statue of Liberty with the way you’re carrying that basket”

I have to say, it’s uncanny 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣

I’m good at two things:
1 - growing plants
2 - Making a fool out of myself! 👀😆

🌿 Another weekend at Woolley Moor Nurseries done and dusted! 🌿

I can’t lie… the weather did its absolute best to put people off this weekend 😅🌧️💨

But despite the grey skies and the showers, you still came out in your droves to support us and for that, we’re incredibly grateful 💚

Whilst it wasn’t quite as manic as some of the record-breaking weekends we’ve enjoyed over the last couple of months, there was still a brilliant atmosphere around the nursery all weekend 🥰

One of my favourite parts was seeing so many people collecting their handmade hanging baskets 😍🌸

There’s something really special about wheeling them out and seeing the excitement on people’s faces when they finally get to take them home. After all the growing, planting, watering and care that goes into them, it’s lovely seeing them find their forever homes 💚

The slightly quieter pace also meant we got to spend more time with each and every one of you.

We helped plan out planting schemes, talked through garden projects, recommended plants and generally did what we love most — helping people create gardens they’ll enjoy for years to come 🌿🏡

That’s one of the best things about a quieter day. Less rushing around and more time for proper conversations.

And now… we’re edging ever closer to what we all know is coming 👀☀️🌸

It’s nearly plant time!

The weather will turn, the gardens will wake up, and before we know it you’ll all be filling your cars with plants again 😂
