Gas & Oil boiler servicing & repair specialists. In early 2018, Hilton Heating was born.

I (Dan Hilton) started general plumbing in Manchester in 2005 and a couple of years later trained to be a gas engineer. After working for both myself and several established heating companies, we made a family decision to make the move to Norfolk in 2011.

7 years of working for a local heating company meant gaining more experience not only in natural gas, but LPG and oil. The lion in our logo was

used to represent the Hilton coat of arms - and hopefully makes us stand out amongst all the other boring gas safe logos on Facebook! In the short time HH has been established, we have gained many customers across the South Norfolk / Breckland areas, building upon our reputation as a reliable and trustworthy company as well as being competitively priced. Our speciality is in boiler servicing and breakdowns, repairing heating systems that other companies cannot. As of May 2019, my wife, Sarah Hilton joined the company and is now based in the office. This enables more time in the field and more appointments for our customers. It also means communication with us will be improved - a quicker response rate and even more ways of contacting us. We now also have our office phone line in which to book appointments - 01953 718375 (9:00am - 6:00pm calls only). We aim to be the most reliable and contactable plumbing/heating company around - breaking the stereotype that plumbers are hard to get hold of. We have recently helped train other people in the industry to become heating engineers and one of these qualified engineers (Stuart) joined Hilton Heating from November 2019.

2020 Brought challenges we hadn't expected - we put a pause on servicing whilst the world went into hibernation. But we learned to adapt and slowly build up our customer base in the local area. We will continue to be customer focused, learn and grow where we can as a company.

That's us done for another year (well, sort of!).
We have a couple of days when an engineer can be available should any of our existing customers have any problems over the Christmas period. This will be on a first come, first serve basis as there are limited slots available.
We'll be accepting new customers in the new year again, so if anyone is looking to book in for any routine works, please leave us a message and we'll get back to you when we're back in the office on Monday 5th January.

Christmas & New Year πŸŽ…πŸŽ†

The office will be closed on Fri 19th December (don't worry if you have an appointment then, we have Stuart carrying out pre planned works).

We'll also be closed during Christmas & New year for service work and general enquiries (back open on 5th January). If you have an emergency, we ask you to kindly to leave us a voicemail or email and someone will get back to you as soon as we are able to do so.

We have a few slots available in between Christmas & New year where we are able to attend breakdowns/repairs for existing customers only, on a first come first serve basis. We will be having a well earned rest and also catching up with family, some of whom we only see a couple of times a year, therefore you may not hear back from us as quickly as usual.

We'll be able to take on new customers in the new year and we do apologise to anyone we've had to turn away the past month or so. Unfortunately it does become difficult this time of year to help everyone, so we do have to prioritise our regular customers during this time but we look forward to seeing some new faces in the new year!

Due to the amount of jobs still left to complete this side of Christmas (approx 211 and counting!), it's now that time of year when we have to unfortunately announce that we're unable to fit in any new customers until the new year.

We can schedule in appointments for servicing and installation quotes for January for new and existing customers βœ…οΈ

As we believe in being open and honest with our pricing, we felt the need to mention that unfortunately our prices will be increasing from 1st Oct 2025.

It's never an easy decision to have to make, and one we don't take lightly. However in order to continue to keep maintaining the same level of care and customer service we always have done, it's one we've had to make.

Running a business in our current economic climate is definitely tough! We're noticing a decreasing trend in larger job enquiries but our regular service and repair customers are certainly keeping us busy! So massive thanks to each and every one of you that continue to use us year after year.

After Stuart's van decided to give up on the A47 last year, we invested in an (almost) new van! Bigger is not always better and this one has been set up perfectly for service and repairing your boilers.

Business Update

When we starting this business 7 years ago, pretty much to this day, we could absolutely never imagine just how busy it would turn out to be, and how many customers we'd have so quickly.
At the time we offered everything from outside taps to full oil installations. Down the line, we've had to reduce what we can offer for health reasons but also for time. Doing everything just doesn't make sense when our speciality was and always will be service & repair of boilers. The most satisfying and rewarding part of the job is getting your boilers up and running again, especially if customers have been previously told by other companies that they can't be fixed.

As well as that, we will always be a small team. Expanding the business just isn't on the cards. We simply prefer to offer a personal service, with engineers that you know and trust.

With that being said, something has to give as currently we're slightly overwhelmed with work, and there's not enough time in the week to do everything. Therefore, we've made the decision to put new customer enquiries for boiler installations on hold. We currently have a huge waiting list anyway for larger jobs, so spending time for free going out to quotes that we are likely not able to win due to our waiting time doesn't make great business sense. Especially when we're turning away breakdown enquiries to do so.
We will however still be able to offer quotes to existing customers who would like to upgrade their gas boilers this summer.

Once again, thank you for keeping us busy. We always appreciate the recommendations. We will however be very much looking forward to when it's time for the heating to turn off this year! πŸ˜†πŸŒž

You may have noticed that the phone lines have been closed for the past few days.
Unfortunately we've all had our fair share of illness this past month and this time it's Sarah that is now ill, therefore we've had to turn on the office answerphone for the foreseeable future.
Although checking emails and messages can be done quite easily between much needed rest, making and receiving phone calls is now impossible due to loss of voice. Therefore if you do leave a voicemail, then it will be Dan that calls back whenever he can. Whilst we aim for the same day call back, it may not be possible given the busy week he has ahead.
Therefore if you do need us, please if you can for the time being, email, send us a Web lead or Facebook message us. This will mean that your enquiry will be dealt with much quicker.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We hope that you all had a great Christmas and Happy New Year πŸŽ†

This week marked our first proper week back since our small break over Christmas and of course with the cooler weather, we've been inundated with breakdown requests as well as some other general enquiries.

Please be aware that our phone lines are currently open 9:00am - 6:00pm Monday - Friday. During this time, there is usually at least one person in the office covering your enquiries. Whilst this runs smoothly for most of the year, there will be some occasions (for instance 9:00am on a cold winter's morning), where you may not get through to us right away. Please do leave a message and someone will be in touch asap.

Facebook / Website enquiries are checked regularly, although it may not be possible to get back to everyone as soon as they're sent. Therefore please expect that it may be a few hours before you hear back from us if your enquiry was sent within our working hours. If you have a super urgent request, then we would always recommend giving us a call.

Please also bear in mind that only enquiries to our official page will be responded to as personal messages often get missed due to the way that Facebook processes inbox messages. We also only have our office number in operation currently. Any mobile numbers that may have been used when we first set up are no longer operational. This helps keep things simple, and ensures that your enquiries are dealt with promptly. It also enables us to try and 'switch off' when outside of working hours. Something I'm sure a lot of fellow business owners struggle with!

πŸ”₯We are now unfortunately unable to take on new customers this year. It's been super busy the past few weeks that we're currently struggling to fit our regular customers in, so unfortunately this means that we have to put a pause on taking on new customers.

πŸ”₯For those regular service customers who are due in December, we'd urge you to contact us this week to secure an appointment before we close for routine work over Christmas / New Year. All reminders have now been issued.

πŸ”₯If you have issues with your boiler / heating system in the next couple of months, we are doing our best to get out to you asap. But again, this service will be for existing customers only.
