🎨🖌️🍃Painting offers young children so much more than a chance to create something beautiful.

It supports fine motor development, hand-eye coordination, creativity, and self-expression.

As children experiment with colours, textures, and natural materials, they build confidence and learn to make their own choices.

What made this activity especially meaningful was that the children independently gathered everything they needed — paper, paints, water, and leaves from around the woodland.

They were completely absorbed in the process, sitting with incredible focus and concentration for a long period of time.

It was a wonderful example of child-led learning, where curiosity, creativity, and independence came together naturally through play.
