I was super excited to be a part of DIY SOS for the past week. What an amazing privilege it was to have the skills, knowledge, and being able to take time off work to help out and change a families life for the better.
-
It was an experience not to miss! A week of ealry starts and late finishes, long days, making new friends, sharing laughs and tears, working amongst other very skilled trades people, volunteers and helpers. All of which were genuine and kind people, and everyone had a amazing team spirit when it came to just cracking on and getting on with it, regardless the rainy wetaher conditions we were faced with and the obstacles we had to overcome during the build.

Seeing so many people give up their time to volunteer and help makes you realise that the world isn't all doom and gloom.

Glad to be able to work alongside one of my best friends and sharing this unforgettable experience!

Getting stuck in😎

🛠️ A little shoutout to my amazing partner Chris and our friend Dom who have been volunteering this last week for BBC DIY SOS's latest project helping a family in need, whilst spending the rest of their evenings bringing our ideas to life in the new unit. What a team. Very grateful. News on our expansion coming soon 🥰

A quick little hallway completed🎨🖌 re plastered over a artex ceiling to match rest of the house as it was the only room with artex left, sealed with Zinsser Gardz, Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt for ceiling, Dulux Trade Diamon Matt for walls and Dulux Trade Ecterior High Gloss for wood work😎🎨

Parquet flooring sanded back and filled by Wellmans Building & Carpentry. I've been asked to assist with the final topcoat using Bona HD High Traffic Lacquer. Perfect even coverage conpeltlwy tranformed this floor that's original to the house😎

A nice little wallpapering job in Axminster last week. Tricky pattern and tall walls on the staircase...but nothing we can't overcome😎👌

A lovely job over in Umborne. Enjoyed the two toned rooms and a contrasting colours. Walls finished in Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt, skirting/architrave in Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell🎨😎Sanded, caulked, prepped and repainted.

Another great project for a lovely customer in seaton, stuck with the similar colours just wanted a frshen up🖌 in the living room and bathroom, walls, ceiling, woodwork and silicone around the bathroom floor have been done. All using Dulux and Dulux Trade😎 Diamond Eggshell, Diamond Matt, Vinyl Matt and Gloss🖌🎨 there's some after and before photos.
