Been watching a lot of wet room tiling feeds on my Facebook because I'm sad like that. If I was to do a wet room I would definitely use an infinity tray system. It's basically a linear drain along a wall. It looks better, it's nicer underfoot and it's far more practical.

Client really had me working hard with this one. They maximised the space fitting both a walk in shower and short ended deep bath.
Metro tiles give a very striking finish with a grey grout and especially so when matched with a matt black trim and sanitary fittings. They're also a cheap tile in comparison to porcelain alternatives. You will however likely have to offset that saving against increase in labour costs for tiling.
