Feeney’s Tree Services

Feeney’s Tree Services As a former Royal Marine, professionalism was ingrained. Feeney’s Tree Services carries that ethos. Full Public Liability Indemnity Insurance, available to view.

After leaving the Royal Marines in 2018, I returned to Norfolk where I was born and raised where a new adventure and challenge awaited. Craving physical and mental challenges, along with the love of the great outdoors, Arboriculture was the perfect career transition. In between Regimental duties, my spare time consisted of gaining the qualifications both theoretical and practical needed to start t

his journey. In 2017 I gained my ABC Level 2 qualification in Arboriculture, increasing my knowledge from soil quality, all the way to Aerial Tree pruning techniques and procedures. Concurrently whilst completing my theory, I began to undertake all the necessary practical training and assessments recognised within the industry, and within a space of 6 months gained my City and Guilds CS30,CS31,CS32,CS38, and CS39 qualifications, showing the competency of being able to safely conduct myself, both on the ground as well as an Arborist up in the tree canopy. Upon leaving the military I was very fortunate to find myself sub contracting as a climber within a very professional and highly respected local company, this opportunity allowed me to progress the skill set I learnt and to gain as much experience and knowledge as possible from the company's expertise. I established Feeney's Tree Services in 2021, with my goal to deliver an enthusiastic, professional and friendly service to clients past, present and future.

We have had a fantastic April, which has been full of non stop action, reductions, dismantles, firewood, stump grinding!! The works.

Everyone involved has been really cracking on and consistently delivered, with no hesitation. Thank you guys 🤘🏻

Thankfully we are starting to feel a little sun on the backs of our necks, which makes things just that little bit better. Also helps blinker the madness unfolding around the globe and keeps us as best as possible in a positive space!

Bring on May! 💪🏻

With the world becoming more turbulent and uncertain as each day passes, we have found ourselves fortunate and very thankful we are still wanted in high demand and have been carrying out a lot of work recently up and down the county.

From large dismantles to sympathetic reductions, hedge cutting any everything in between!

As always thank you to the team for turning out and consistently putting in that grind!

A very enjoyable reduction carried out to finish our Saturday off.

We didn’t even take a chainsaw off the truck for this one, was purely secateurs and silky saw, with a gentle approach keeping both tree welfare and aesthetics at the front of our mind, the customers were over the moon with the finished article, and were an utter delight to work for with tea and biscuits being belt fed.

Even the old and ragged “Ralph” the greyhound made an appearance for the day and being the company tree hound.

A picture paints a thousand words as to how the first working week of the new year started 😂.

All I cam say is this picture allows me to reflect as to how lucky I am to have guys along side me who just press on and get things done. Even in negative temperatures and snow we all still cracked a smile, laughed and carried on 💪🏻

As we begin to enter the last evening of 2025 on the verge of entering 2026, I would like to take this time to thank and reflect on this last 12 months.

I would like to firstly thank everyone involved in the running and executing of Feeney’s Tree Services, each person involved in whatever way, including myself are all small cogs in one big machine, which always turn and work together flawlessly, producing the goods every time we roll out.

Secondly, a massive thank you to all our new and loyal, existing customers, without every single one of you we would not operate to the calibre we do, nor would we be able to live the lives we choose to live, so a heart felt thank you from us all.

2025 has certainly thrown some curveballs, but with drive and consistency those curveballs were knocked out the park.

Anyway, enough banging on from me, happy new year, the wagons are primed for 2026, and so are we 💪🏻🎉

Another action packed week has been wrapped up, we have been boucing around this fine county tending to our highly valued customers, the largest job of this week being the dismantle and stump grinding of these 2 Silver Birch all competed in one day, all the waste chipped and removed, with the timber staying for the customer to utilise for firewood.

Returning back to one of the estates we are so lucky to work for carrying out further essential works, making sure that these high traffic areas are kept safe, with consistent surveys and diligence from the highly qualified ground staff we were able to bite a good chunk off and get it completed.

Working a long side the local district council also helps make sure that every decision made when permission is given is the correct one for the welfare of both the trees and that safety is not compromised.

Another terrific week concluded, (prematurely due to the weather!!). We have been completing numerous tasks this week from dismantles, to hedge cutting and everything in between.

We were asked to pollard a Walnut tree which had a considerable connection to the late comedian Spike Milligan! The customer wanting to retain the tree yet condense its presence and with such heavy previous works carried out we recommended a pollard, keeping the natural flow of the tree with a decent reduction in size.

Followed by the removal of numerous trees that had sadly succumbed and were standing dead, becoming hazardous, and out of place in such a lush and green garden space.

Another very busy week concluded, final job of the week was the removal of one Ash tree sadly suffering from Ash Die Back disease, as well as internal rot within the stem, with it being so close to the house the customer wished for it to be removed.

The neighbouring Ash, which is also majorly struggling from the disease has been very sympathetically pruned, only reducing where really needed with the addition of dead wooding.

A slight turn of events for us this afternoon, having to postpone our programmed book work to get out and get the carriageway cleared ASAP, due to a large Ash tree having failed.

This was a seriously large tree which thankfully only damaged a telephone line and nothing else.

Needless to say the poor old girl had certainly seen better days with huge amounts of rot within the internals!
