I haven't really needed to push the Earth Mother business on social media recently as things have been busy with regular clients and the step back into teaching through our winter months. However, there is news!
Unfortunately I have decided to close the business completely after being offered a very full time career move job - I simply will not have any available time 😭

Thank you so very much for your custom, your beautiful gardens, the chats and coffee....the early morning panic photos of vine weevils, odd-looking compost and frost damage 😀
Thank you for trusting me with access to your property and freedom to start cutting, clipping and digging 😀

The page itself will remain for any online advice & messages to contact me but I cannot take any future bookings for gardening work 😟

Guys, if you have spent the day in your garden getting carried away with new plants purchased - especially bedding annuals - there's a high chance of frost overnight! It's always the way.....first day that feels like Spring = folk flock to garden centres where they're fully stocked on top price annuals.. you spend a fortune and have a few hours pottering and planting.......and you lose the lot to frost! The commercials know this, anything grown in a polytunnel isn't hardy enough for this yet, so you end up buying twice. If you don't have horticultural fleece, an old net curtain will do....in fact, anything to protect from frost. Fruit trees are out in force everywhere too - cover them unless they ve been grown on a large pot outside 👍

Hello all 😁 we have almost made it through January! It always feels like this month goes on forever!
Just so you know, I only have Thursdays available for the next few weeks as I have regular clients booked in already to the end of Feb! I can do weekends locally by special arrangement ❤️ big love

Did you know I also dabble in a little kitchen apothecary?😃 I use many of the herbs, plants and flowers from my own garden - and sometimes unwanted cuttings from customers gardens- to create scented, herbal and medicinal products using aromatherapy, natural blends and therapeutic lotions, potions & tinctures 🧙😄
This is more a helpful hobby for friends & family .....but I am taking some products to local craft fairs as they are too good not to share!

I have been out gardening all day in this rain, soaked to the bone! Wet, cold and muddy as usual! I am sorry for all the times I cursed the heatwave weather this summer!!!
(Actually that's a lie, I hate hot weather!)
Unfortunately no photos today as muddy gloves, rain and screens do not mix, but I am looking forward to some spring sunshine and to see these gardens truly come into their own ❤️🌸
