We did it! In April, our amazing team walked 1,377 km—that’s the distance between all our offices twice over (and then some)!

We took on this challenge to raise awareness and support for Blue Cross, a charity chosen by our staff that helps pets in need across the UK. 🐾💙

It’s been a fun, energising, and meaningful journey—and we’re so proud of what we’ve achieved together!

It was wonderful to have so many friends in the room together last night to celebrate CHQ's 40th anniversary. We were also delighted to welcome back Bob and Jean Hatt, the founding partners of CHQ. 

With a dedicated team of 60 extremely talented architects, interior designers, 3D Visualisers and more we are really proud of what we have achieved over the past 40 years, working with some of the country's major household food and non-food retail operators, major contractors and developers across the sector. 

Thank you for sharing this with us and we look forward to the next forty.....

Overlooking Willen Lake, Milton Keynes it’s great to see this brand new 120 bedroom Inn and restaurant completed.

Making the most of the stunning views of the lake and park, the new four storey hotel and restaurant have been designed with a contemporary facade and strong colour palette which will weather beautifully to blend in with the surround area.

The dramatic diagonals of the restaurant create a bright glazed frontage overlooking Willen Lake where there is outdoor seating for customers to enjoy.

We are really proud to have been Delivery Architects on this project and look forward to working on more projects in the future.

Congratulations to our fantastic MD Barry Harper-Smith who is celebrating his 30th anniversary at CHQ today.

Barry joined us in 1992, rising to Director before taking on his current role as MD of CHQ and our sister company DMWR Architects Ltd.

His excellent leadership skills, passion and expertise has taken the company from strength to strength and we look forward to many more years of him at the helm.

At The Granary our brief was to sympathetically replace an existing dilapidated barn with a contemporary barn-style dwelling, respecting its rural setting and incorporating sustainable features. We love the results! ❤️

Planning dictated the scale and area of the building was to not exceed its predecessor.

Materials were drawn from the agricultural setting with black coloured timber weather boarding and corrugated metal.

Timber frame, solar panels, high levels of insulation and airtightness along with air source heat pumps have provided eco-friendly solutions.
