Old and part rotten summer house taken down and safely disposed of recently for a Hook Norton resident.
A real shame these type of outdoor buildings suffer with such decay and in quite random places. Sadly beyond economical repair, so off to the recycle centre it goes.
Second such building within 2 working days, other was a small shed.!
A few snaps before and after.

Replaced the felt roof and front wooden decking area on this changing room during the working week.
The original roofing felt was well past its best, so off it came, and safely disposed of. New heavy duty felt. Batons and fascias made and installed.
The front decking area and side rails were rotten and unsafe. So these were dismantled and removed from site.
New decking base frame made and levelled. Clad with board's to finish off.
New side rails and roof supports created and installed.
Quick tidy up of the working area, and, hey presto, a refurbished changing room was completed, ready for the customer to decorate using Cuprinol Garden Shades as agreed.
A great transformation completed, happy customer but no dip in the pool for me sadly, oh well, can't win em all!

Overhaul of an old shower cubicle completed.
With missing door rollers and random rollers ill-fitted, the shower cubicle was a pain to use.
To help keep costs as low as possible, reclaimed shower door rollers were used alongside new door seals.
With some cleaning, lubrication & adjustments made, the shower doors once again glided effortlessly in their tracks.
New door seals created a leak free, usable shower once more.

Water damaged ceiling repair.
Kitchen ceiling repair completed for a Hook Norton resident.
After having a water leak to her flat roof professionally repaired, my task was to put right the internal damage, once everything had dried out.
Additional screws and CT1 adhesive were added to strengthen up the joints. All joints V'd out.
PVA glue applied to the cracks and surrounding areas, followed by mesh tape and good quality filler across the the affected locations. Once dried, filler was sanded to shape.
2 x Mist coats of thinned emulsion followed by 2 x coats of quality trade matt emulsion and the repair was complete.
Walls were also repainted sometime, so the entire kitchen area looked fresh and bright again.
Happy customer. And a nice neat repair completed.
A few before, during and after piccies.

4 doors prepared and repainted for a Moreton In The Marsh landlord.
After purchasing the property the landlord wanted the doors tidying up ready for a new tenant.
One door was really in bad shape due to wet rot. We discussed a couple options, then agreed to do a temporary repair whilst a replacement door was made.
All doors were sanded , spot primed, 2 coats of exterior trade undercoat applied, this was tinted to improve the opacity of the red gloss top coat. allowed to dry, light sanded, then 2 coats of trade exterior gloss applied.
The rotten door was removed. The rot cleaned up at the base of the glazed area, a new wooden moulding installed then 2 pack filler applied, allowed to harden off prior to sanding to shape.
The bottom of the door was covered using exterior ply, which was glued and screwed in place
This door went through the same paint prep process as per the others. Like I said just a temporary repair to keep the place looking smart, whilst a new door was made, due to its unusual size.
Landlord and new tenant really pleased with the end results.

Ceiling crack repairs completed for Swansea based customer.
The bathroom, toilet and kitchen ceilings were all affected.
My proven repairep approach is to V out the crack / s.
Apply PVA glue to the repair area, let it almost dry.
Apply mesh tape over the cracks.
Followed by a skim of filler, allow to dry thoroughly, then sand smooth.
Clean up the dust & debris, prepare then paint with suitable emulsion for the environment, in these 3 locations I used Zinsser Perma White matt emulsion for its excellent mould resistant properties.
A few before, during and after piccies to showcase the repair.
