The Banbury Canal Partnership has unfortunately now ceased to carry out further duties and volunteering along the S. Oxford Csnal. This is mainly due to a lack of volunteers and the current ones seeing the better side of an average of 70 years of age.

If you feel that you can give some time to Volunteer, two days a month 3rd and 4th Tuesdays then we would love to hear from you. There is just so much to be done to keep our canal in a navigable state, mostly lock upkeep- painting, vegetation clearing, etc.

Great day today cutting back the very overgrown vegetation at Nell’s Bridge on the S. Oxford. Thank you to those volunteers that came along. We shall return next Tuesday to cut some more. Then we are of to the Pig Place for a slap up lunch.
