A simple but so effective uplift of an empty front border. Some quality plants from Springhill Nurseries Wholesale Ltd and quality mulch from Trees are us. With some time to mature and bed in over summer it’s only going to get better. [email protected]; www.thesoilsisters.co.uk; 07432 108318

A garden should be more than just an outdoor space.
It should be your sanctuary.
A place that brings happiness, peace, and a moment of calm in an increasingly busy world.

These photos are of our own gardens — the places we treasure, where we unwind, recharge, and escape the demands of everyday life. They remind us why great garden design matters so much.

At The Soil Sisters, we believe everyone deserves a garden that feels like a retreat and reflects their dreams.

Book a consultation and let us help create your perfect outdoor sanctuary.

🌼 Dandelions: More Than Just a W**d! 🌼

One of nature's most overlooked plants, dandelions have been used for centuries as both food and traditional medicine.

🌿 Potential Health Benefits:
• Rich in vitamins A, C and K
• Contains minerals including potassium, calcium and iron
• Packed with antioxidants that help protect cells from oxidative stress
• Traditionally used to support healthy digestion and liver function
• May help support a healthy immune system
• Provides prebiotic fibre that can nourish beneficial gut bacteria

🥗 Quick Dandelion Salad

Mix young dandelion leaves with lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes. Dress with olive oil and lemon juice for a nutrient-rich spring salad.

🌼 Crispy Dandelion Fritters
Dip freshly picked flower heads in a simple batter (1 egg, 100ml milk, 75g flour) and fry until golden. Lightly season and enjoy.

⚠️ Always harvest from clean areas away from roads, pesticides and pet activity, and wash thoroughly before use.

Nature often gives us exactly what we need—sometimes disguised as a w**d. 🌱💛

🌿 What a wonderful day at the Crathes Vintage Rally! 🌿
It was fantastic to meet so many people, enjoy great conversations, and share our passion for gardening, nature and wellbeing.

We were delighted to introduce two new Soil Sisters services:
🌱 Soil Sisters Garden Consultations – helping you create beautiful, productive and wildlife-friendly outdoor spaces tailored to your needs.

💚 Soil for the Soul – monthly women's wellbeing sessions designed to help you reconnect with nature, slow down, and nurture your mind, body and soul.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand. Your enthusiasm and support were truly inspiring.

Thank you also for the beautiful table and log bench provided by Trees are us and their help setting up Duncan Wight.

Here's to growing gardens, building connections, and finding wellbeing through nature. 🌿✨

Once hidden beneath overwhelm and overgrowth, this forgotten corner held more heartache than harmony.

Today, it has been gently transformed into a peaceful sanctuary - a place where nature can soothe, restore, and breathe life back into the soul.

Layers of fern, moss, bark, and woodland planting now weave through a magical stumpery filled with rich textures, soft movement, and bursts of colour.

Designed not simply as a garden, but as a healing space - somewhere to sit quietly, listen to birdsong, feel grounded beneath nature’s embrace, and reconnect with the calm that the natural world so effortlessly offers.

A sanctuary grown through care, patience, and the belief that even the most overgrown spaces can bloom beautifully once again. 🌿✨
