WE ARE HIRING FULL TIME GROUNDS MAINTENANCE OPERATIVES to join our talented and dedicated team.

The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as have the initiative to work independently when required.

Duties will include (but not limited to)
●Grass cutting - Private and Commercial
●Scarifying
●Hedge cutting
●Preparation of new lawns for both seed and turf
●Aeration
●Leaf Collection

Essential Criteria :
●Full clean UK driving licence
●Knowledge on how to work safely, effectively and to a timely manner
●Must be punctual, reliable, dedicated and be able to communicate effectively
●Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
●Must be physically fit due to the nature of work

Desirable Criteria:
●Previous experience preferred
●PA1 and PA6 spraying certificates

The rate of pay for this vacancy will be based on experience.

Have you noticed a lot of crane fly (daddy long legs) over the last few weeks around your property, if so the chances are you will have leather jackets present in your lawn

The Leather jackets (larvae of the crane fly) exists in the soil from the autumn to the following spring in the turf and roots, biting off stems at or just below ground level resulting in the turf dying back often in clumps. Damage generally becomes noticeable during the spring caused by the feeding that occurred the previous autumn and winter. Secondary damage from birds searching and pecking for larvae can rip up the turf

We can apply a treatment that will kill the leather jackets which is best applied in November/December
