Back in summer 2020. On this south facing exterior, the rwg, fascias, and coal shed doors were taken back to where they were solid. The gutters and down pipes were spot primed, before two full coats of Dulux Weathershield undercoat.Likewise the same with the fascias, which however took the additional coats of Zinsser Coverstain x1, Aluminium wood primer x2, Weathershield undercoat x2, Dulux Weathershield gloss x2. Excessive yes/maybe? they were weathered and at many points back to the bare. The soffit, judging by the width, appearance and location seems to be asbestos, which if not tampered with, as here was coated, Sandtex flexible undercoat x2, flexible gloss x2.
The Garage door received the same preparation, and coating sequence. The colour is not a British Racing Green, but tinted to the customers choice at local Dulux paint centre.

Recently on a hall stairs and landing, I encountered the problem of chalking emulsion paint. Now, this was recent paint purchased during the first Lockdown of 2020. And this was what I was presented with. So as the client (who is quite knowledgeable in the subject of interior decoration) asked that we try various solutions. which we did.The first being apply a decent product and let that do the work....
