We love this! Our customer lives on Papa Westray, Orkney, and she wanted a “beefed up” cloche that would protect her crops while standing strong in the wild weather. 🌱💪🏼
These pictures are from last summer, showing what a fantastic job our customer did of building her bespoke cloche, and showing how her crops thrived under the polythene cover. 🌱💪🏼
Our customer has recently ordered more “beefed up” cloches to add to her vegetable patch at Orkney. 🌱💪🏼
The cloches have been built onto existing sturdy raised beds, making them taller than standard cloches, and this has allowed our customer to even install doorways on the ends. 🌱💪🏼
Cloches are perfect for small gardens, patios, raised beds and other limited spaces… and yes, they can even stand up to the wild weather on the Orkney islands! 🌱💪🏼

Unlike a greenhouse, a polytunnel can easily be built on sloping ground, with no site preparation work needing to be done first. 🪏

This garden polytunnel was built recently for a local customer, on slightly sloping ground. Our customer chose to add sliding doors to the tunnel, as well as staging supports on one side. 🚪
•
Adding staging supports to your polytunnel allows you to create a workstation or potting bench, suitable to support the weight of lots of watered pots. 🪴
•
Staging supports can be retrofitted to a polytunnel, and you can choose to have a support on every hoop or a minimum of two polytunnel hoops. 🪛

This commercial polytunnel frame, measuring 21ft wide x 66ft long, was built by our customer’s husband. Our construction team then headed down to Essex to fit the polythene cover. The polytunnel will be finished with specially made doors, built by our customer.

Organised chaos at the moment as we transition hundreds of plants from 1 litre pots to 15 litre final pots. The poly shack is full to the rafters and this polytunnel is rapidly becoming a juggling act. Not the difference in the plants bottom right and those immediately above them - that’s a week of potting on difference.

Time for the gas heater and gas bottles to be removed - thaw last of the silly temperatures have now passed.

By the end of Bank Holiday Monday everything will be in order in nice neat rows supported from above. Busy weekend awaits!

Just two months ago, this polytunnel was filled with ewes and their lambs. 🐑
Now the sheep have moved on and a new season of vegetable growing has begun. 🌱

🔎👀 It’s been a long time since we last played a game of “Can You Spot Brett?”, but he’s back at it… and he’s REALLY stepped it up this time!
Brett is actually in TWO of these pictures, but even the person taking the pictures couldn’t find him when he looked back at them! 👀🔍

Anyway… here is another polytunnel designed, manufactured, supplied, and installed in a customer’s garden.
This 18ft wide x 36ft long polytunnel had been previously built by our customer at his old address, but, being busy with moving house, he asked us to rebuild the polytunnel for him.
🌱 A polytunnel is a great investment to have in your garden… and if you move house, you can take it with you! 🙌🏼
