🏛️ Phase 1 Complete – Large Georgian House External Redecoration 🎨

What a project this has been 👌

Phase 1 of this beautiful Georgian property is now complete after weeks of preparation, repairs and decorating.

As with any period property, the key to a quality finish is in the preparation:

🪟 Failing coatings removed
🪵 Timber repairs carried out where required
🧱 Defects filled and made good
⚒️ Countless hours of preparation before the decorating even began

Finished using:

🤍 Farrow & Ball Lime White (colour matched) – Windows
🤎 Farrow & Ball String (colour matched) – Masonry surrounds
🖤 Paint & Paper Library Hornblende (colour matched) – Doors

A huge amount of work has gone into bringing this property back up to standard while preserving its character and charm.

Projects of this size don't happen overnight, but seeing the transformation makes all the hard work worthwhile 💪

🛁 Bathroom Redecoration Completed 🎨

This one was a little more involved than it first appeared...

The walls were stripped and prepared, with medium filling required to bring them back up to standard 👌

The radiator was an absolute t**t 🤦‍♂️

Unfortunately it couldn't be removed, which made stripping and preparing behind it an interesting experience to say the least 😅

Minor filling was also carried out to the ceiling before decorating.

Products used:

🤍 Zinsser Perma-White – Ceiling
💜 Crown 'Unwind' – Walls
🚪 White Satinwood – Woodwork

A lot of preparation went into this one, but the end result was well worth the effort.

My Wood filling knives were absolutely caked in layers of 2-pack filler after countless repairs and restoration jobs.

🎨 External Redecoration Completed 🎨

This project included the redecoration of a conservatory, windows, summer house and entrance door.

As always, preparation was key to achieving a long-lasting finish 👌

🪟 Two windows required Repair Care repairs
🛠️ Minor repairs carried out to the conservatory
🧱 Panels filled and caulked where required
🧹 Summer house fungicidal washed and prepared ready for decoration

The conservatory, windows and summer house were finished in Oil Based Opaque 'DH White', providing a durable and weather-resistant finish.

🚪 The entrance door required minimal preparation before the panels were filled and caulked, then finished in Little Greene 'Atomic Red' Gloss ❤️

A great transformation all round and ready to withstand the British weather for years to come ☀️🌧️

✔️ Finished in Dulux White Matt and a green colour-matched matt finish

✔️ New plaster mist coated
✔️ Finished in Dulux White Matt and Farrow & Ball No. 301

🚻 Toilet
✔️ Two full skim coats required to bring the walls back to standard
✔️ Walls and ceiling finished in green colour-matched Diamond Eggshell

🛁 Bathroom
✔️ Minor preparation throughout
✔️ Ceiling finished in Zinsser Perma-White

Haven't posted in a while... 😅🎨

It's been a busy few weeks on the tools, so social media has taken a bit of a back seat.

I've got plenty of completed work to catch up on and will be posting over the next few days, including:

🏠 A multi-room internal redecoration
🪟 An external redecoration project
🏛️ The completion of a large Georgian house external restoration

Lots of prep, repairs, paint, coffee and probably a few headaches along the way 🤦‍♂️☕🎨
