We are building our brand, Butlers Barn Creations, with the goal of encouraging our consumers to create their home using warmth, simplicity & creative ways. We want to focus on home decorating & gardening tips made simple. And if you are going to dabble with a vegetable garden then quick, easy & delicious recipes using everyday ingredients should be enjoyed as well! We also love crafts, especially knitting, crochet and sewing so we will offer ideas that are fun to make & a joy to give.

Oops - Forgot to take the photo before we took a bite! Reindeer meat is a traditional dish for the Norwegians. We decided to sample a pizza with reindeer meat and a reindeer sausage. Both were delicious although I found the sausage casing a bit “tough”. Since Norway is not know for its wine - it was a delicious French wine tonight.

A simple pork loin roast. Layer the bottom of your oven proof dish with sliced potatoes, cut carrots in half lengthwise and layer on top. Wrap loin with a couple slices of bacon and brown in frypan with a drizzle of oil. Roughly chop and sauté fresh garlic cloves. Place on top of vegetables. Make a cup of chicken stock using 1/2 c water and 1/2 c dry white wine. Pour over top. Cover in foil and roast for 30 minutes, uncover and cook additional 20 minutes.
