Recently completed patio...
Here are some numbers:

3 broken concrete patios dug out.
8.5 tonne of waste removed.
6 bulk bags of MOT1 sub base compacted.
3 bulk bags of grit sand mixed with cement.
24m² of grey Indian sandstone laid.
45 900mm x 600mm slabs used.
1 inset manhole drain cover installed.
3 tubs of resin jointing compound compacted.

The customers and I are really pleased with outcome and are already talking about the next steps for their outdoor space.

A bespoke picket fence and gate installed recently, (through a heatwave and storms). The customer and I are both really pleased with the final outcome, providing a smart barrier from the neighbouring public open space. 👍🏻🌿

It was a pleasure to paint this fence for a new customer recently. 🌿
I stripped off ivy, repaired some damage and painted eight panels with the customer's chosen colour. Two previously unpainted panels had two coats to help them blend in with the rest.
The customer was happy with the result and is already planning my return visit! 👍🏻🌿

I've turned an all grass back garden into something that will be eventually be filled with colour and texture, and attract wildlife.
I have planned and dug gently curved borders ready for planting. The ground was hard and dry and hadn't been dug over in many years, it needs some rain before any planting!

Another garden transformation with some lovely planting. 🌿
This customer wanted a low maintenance front garden to replace the mass of w**ds, bulbs and day lilies that were there.
We have planted evergreen shrubs and range of foliage and flower colours for all year round interest. We have mixed these in around some existing planting.
The use of varieties of fern is a nod to the customer's time spent in New Zealand as a child.
W**d membrane and 2500 litres of decorative bark will help keep the w**ds at bay.

A pleasure to work with the customer on this transformation! 👍🏻🌿
Old rotten spindles and rail were replaced with a new wire balustrade and new top rail.
This opens the deck to the garden and the incredible Wiltshire landscape beyond. 👍🏻🌿

A lovely job this week in the sunshine.
A transformation from bare soil and w**ds, to a colourful border of plants and textures.
- 90 plants.
- 50m² of w**d membrane.
- 3000 litres of decorative bark.
This border will grow and evolve into a lovely low maintenance feature to hide the bare wall.
The plant selection is mainly evergreen with a range of colours, flowers, textures and interest for wildlife.
The customer and I are really pleased with this transformation. 👍🏻🌿

Exciting times are coming!

If you know me or have read my previous posts, you may know that I launched Grounded in the Garden while still working as a teacher part time.

I have now made the exciting decision to take the business full time! This will enable me to focus on this work I am so proud of, grow the business with bigger projects, and still look after my regular and returning customers. This decision may even enable me to have some time off occasionally!

I am sorry to anyone I have not been able to help while running my business alongside being a teacher. From the summer this changes!
