🌱👑Kween of the pivot👑🌱

10 weeks ago i had this year sorted in my head😃
I was launching .sussexflowergrowercollective , still doing my DIY buckets and select weddings, but my focus was mainly florist trade via the FGC Hub based out of our barn.
One chance meeting with the uberglam Emma Lynch from and we off on another exciting adventure! 🎢
I'm really excited to be working behind the scenes on launching a British Seasonal flowers offer with 💐✌🏻
This will be a game changer for me and the other growers. We'll cut our stems on a Tuesday night and they'll be with florists ALL OVER THE COUNTRY 🌏 by Thursday! 🚚
The team have created a fantastic local offer in partnership with growers in the South West and I'm so excited and honoured to be a part of the London team's journey 🥳🌱
But the planning going in to get my little farm ready to supply at scale is M A J O R ! 😆
The investment in plants and infrastructure, the consideration of crops to focus on and the planning to develop a more effecient and professional set up is a real learning curve, but one I'm absolutely loving.
I feel like the last five seasons learning my craft, working out what varieties grow well for me, slowly developing my business around part time jobs, house moves, family, new schools, disappointments and pivots was all enabling me to be able to grab this opportunity and make the most of it ✨️
2025 is going to be epic, but 2026 is going to be incredible!
LETS GET IT!

💦Evening watering ruminations💦

340 litres of water
1hr 10 mins walking back and forth
20 min drive each way

Gives me loads of time to worry im not doing this flower growing properly, feel like an imposter trying to grow flowers commercially and compare myself to every single flower grower on the internet...😳

I've been doing this for 5.5 years, had multiple setbacks, pivoted everytime, and this year have successfully launched .sussexflowergrowercollective and am working on big expansion plans to become one of new seasonal flower suppliers, all while settling into a new village, guiding my daughter through x2 new schools, having to start 4 new jobs, throwing myself at the electric fence of a marketing industry that doesn't see my value anymore and trying to find my new community... So why don't I feel like i'm good enough?

I think personal growth is a lot like flower growing. 🌷🪻🌻 Just when you think you've got it nailed, something derails you and you have to start all over again🎢

AND, I am so grateful and privaledged that i get to be here on this land, getting my hands dirty and growing flowers that bring people joy 🙏🏻

I have been on an absolutely wild ride for the last five years, but holy smokes, lads, I'm just getting started...! ✨️

If I can live this utterly bonkers life everyday, then you can do whatever you want to with yours too🔮

I believe in you. We can do this. ✌🏻💐

well, we did it.

The East Sussex Fower Grower Collective is live ✌🏻💐

I've been working on this for 10 months; meeting with and assembling the best growers in East Sussex + Kent, tippity tapping on a pooter to learn how our webshop platform runs, talking to florists and floral designers about our plans and what we're growing, faffing about in Canva (SO MUCH FAFFING) and last night, our first order cycle went live! 🙏🏻⚡️🥳

It's still pretty earlyin the season, but I've got 17 incredible growers in our Hub and we've got some fantastic blooms ready for florists, retail customers and trade to buy. So if you're looking for seasonal, sustainable and excellent quality, click the ink in my bio☝🏻to find out more and explore our webshop🖱

Any Qs, hit me up in the DMs 💌

2026, lets be 'aving you! 🔥🐎

🤫I've been quietly working on something in the background for a few months...

📢And I'm totally stoked to announce that the East Sussex Hub of the national Flower Grower Collective is launching in February 2026, with lil' ole me as the Hub Admin!

💐We're a group of local, independent cut flower businesses working together to bring high quality, sustainable and seasonal cut flowers to floral designers, florists and retailers across East Sussex, Kent and London!

Whoop whoop!

☕️We're currently preparing for our informal and in-person launch event @ Foxlight in mid February, where you'll be able to meet all our growers, learn how it all works and have an opportunity to sign up to the Hub!

🖱💐Our wholesale online flower hub will then be opening for Mother's Day orders in late February!

💌For more information, slide into my DMs, or sign up to our dedicated East Sussex mailing list, link in the bio 👆🏻 for sneak previews of blooms coming soon, offers and first-season-deals from the Collective, we can't wait to work with you!

🍂AWESOME INSTALLATION ALERT!🍂
I've been lucky to know Eliza and the team for a few years. They truely made a Brighton blow
-in to this neck of the woods feel welcome and create a real sense of community. I've wanted to create something incredible for their gorgeous window for ages, so when Eliza said: " I want something made from foraged beach materials, maybe a bit christmassy, but not really, and it needs to feel at home here and of course 100% sustainable, oh and I trust you and it will be great!" 🤯
YOU CAN'T LET THE WOMAN DOWN! 😆..and lo:
🐚dried sea kale seed pods, tied together in a shape inspired by anenomes, and bound in hessian ribon
🍃dressed with preserved asparagus fern and moss to fit in with the existing planting scheme giving a seasonal, under-sea vibe
WE ALL LOVE IT and it feels like its grown here, which is exactly the vibe i wanted 🌱
My Seasonal Sea Creatures 🪼 are 100% compostable, sustainable and beautiful
Oh, and I'm totally stoked that this is my second installation on George St! So if you want a mini Foxlight art tour, grab a coffee and head to the Salon's famous art deco window and then saunter to Tadgh Mae a couple of doors up to see Moonshadow 🌜, currently dressed in seasonal golds and oranges 🍁✨️.
Tell me which one you like best by commenting 🪼🍃 or 🌜🍂 below!
Oh and if you have a retail or hospitality space and are thinking about something to celebrate christmas, but would rather stick pins in your eyes than install the usual hackneyed plastic tut, then slide into my DMs and lets invent something magical together! ❄️🤘🏻✨️🤘🏻❄️

💪🏻10 new beds built and filled!💪🏻
We had x5 delicious tons of fresh compost delivered on Friday and set to work lining and filling x10 shiny new raised beds this weekend 🌱
I know, I know how to live, eh?! 💅🏻
Why the high sided raised beds? Our land is really clay heavy. And with the weather of this summer, keeping enough moisture in the ground for the flowers was really difficult. Having deep, deliciously nutritious soil for my 2026 season, was on my wish list from about May onwards this year! so I'm really pleased to have earnt enough from the flowers to buy the beds + compost to make that happen 🤟🏻
Without a helping hand from and the trusty old JCB, getting 4 bags down from the top of the field would have taken d a y s of wheelbarrowing, so I was very happy to see him hoving into view with giant bags of muck swinging away merrily
Stage ☝🏻 was to dig up the perennials that I'm keeping, dividing them where I could.
I've learnt a lot over the last 4/5 years and what I personally love to grow doesnt necessarily appeal to florists or brides, so some perennials are being retired to pots for home!
Stage ☝🏻☝🏻 was the build the new beds
Stage ☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 was to replant perennials I'm keeping
All in all, about 14 hours of hard work💪🏻💪🏻
Shout out to Madonna's Immaculate Collection, everything Chappel Roan ever recorded, Fleetwood Mac, KPop Demon Hunters and multiple functional mushroom coffees, for keeping me going 😃✌🏻🌱
