You may remember the raised beds from back in October. We’ve been back recently to take up the tired undulating and compacted old lawn, add some edging and then lay a new lawn with some mulch around the borders. Next step will be planting with our amazing plant design guru ! Lovely clients and a nice space to improve for the families summer days at home!

A composite decking project we recently completed. Initially the client wanted us to extend the existing slightly mismatched and badly laid paving ahead of a full garden build we are pitching for. I could immediately see how the garden could look with our design idea and suggested the decking as the paving ‘repair’ just wouldn’t work and would need redoing at some point especially with the rest of the garden which runs up hill. Needless to say, our client was delighted with the idea and the outcome improving the existing space not only by size but gives the overall space a wider look along with cleaner and level lines. Cladding the step was essential otherwise it would’ve looked odd. There are only four screws used, two either side of the step, joining our framework to the house. I don’t like drilling into properties so we avoid that as much as we can. All frame work is raised from the ground with posts and all joists are covered with DPC to protect against the elements. Removable ‘hidden’ drain covers are always added for ease of access to any drainage!

A project that kick started our year! A bit out of my comfort zone but teamed up with Mr Moufarge Ricky the Bricky to get this one under the belt! Quite a transformation I’d say!
Amazing clients who were so so hospitable and worked on the design, always open to suggestions and lots of cuppas! Not to mention the wonderful thank you gifts we got at the end, mine being those gorgeous Niwaki secateurs.

We’ve started 2026 with a bang ripping out this concrete madness ready for a quirky block paved path and gravel garden. Hard work especially tackling the elements but we expect that this time of year! ‘No such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing!’ (I quote David Gurney! 😜)

Finished product ‘hopefully’ coming soon!

We have many projects on the go and coming up through this first half of 2026! It is a crazy start to the year but we all very focused and very much looking forward to them all!!

Fantastic work from my team to kick start the year with this project and starting phase 2 of . and Marno

Very close friends of mines garden we worked on as our last big project of 2025!

Terrace area mid garden with planting, gravel paths, stepping stones and step. We LOVED this project. Well, the guys having to lug god only knows how many late buckets of type one and aggregate through the house probably didn’t love that part but the design (by yours truly) and the softer parts were certainly lovely!!

Great work by the team! and Marno!! Nice one gang! Thanks for all your hard work! What a team! 🙏

A shed repair/renovation I’ve recently completed. The back had rotted in the far corner. The original structure had a strange roof. It was pitched in two ways making all the run off happen in that one back corner. Water was sitting at the bottom so the floor boards and the back wall had all rotted as well as the top corner. There was enough space behind the be able to extend the storage space as I was going to have to take the back wall off anyway.

On my initial inspection it was fairly straight forward but after discovering the floor and then the existing roof it became little more of a challenge. I replaced and added fascia’s and a gutter system on the far side to carry the water away outside the back fence preventing the water from sitting under the shed. I also raised the shed in those areas onto plastic grids to prevent the timber from sitting on the ground.

The neighbouring tree which is right on the boundary has lifted the original concrete base pushing the shed to its side so trying to use a level and getting everything right was impossible. To repair the doors so they would close was a case of planing and cutting to shape. Repair work can be tricky but we do LOVE a challenge! It’s the best to learn and find new ways of working!!
