A composite decking project we recently completed. Initially the client wanted us to extend the existing slightly mismatched and badly laid paving ahead of a full garden build we are pitching for. I could immediately see how the garden could look with our design idea and suggested the decking as the paving ‘repair’ just wouldn’t work and would need redoing at some point especially with the rest of the garden which runs up hill. Needless to say, our client was delighted with the idea and the outcome improving the existing space not only by size but gives the overall space a wider look along with cleaner and level lines. Cladding the step was essential otherwise it would’ve looked odd. There are only four screws used, two either side of the step, joining our framework to the house. I don’t like drilling into properties so we avoid that as much as we can. All frame work is raised from the ground with posts and all joists are covered with DPC to protect against the elements. Removable ‘hidden’ drain covers are always added for ease of access to any drainage!
