Is your air con equipment keeping up with the vehicles coming through your doors?

A few years ago, that was a straightforward question. Today it is not. The shift to electric and hybrid vehicles has changed what air conditioning servicing actually involves. EV climate systems are integrated with battery thermal management, which means the equipment, handling procedures, and training requirements are all different from what most workshops have been running for years.

At the same time, the industry transition from R134a to R1234yf refrigerant is still catching workshops out. R1234yf requires specific equipment to handle correctly, and not every garage has made the switch yet. If yours has not, you are already turning away work without necessarily realising it.

Our experience in liquid engineering dates back many years, since before PGE was even founded, to when Jonathan and Marcus both worked at BP/Castrol (for over 45 years between them). The birth of our liquid engineering division came about thanks to BP/Castrol’s trust in their expertise and the need for them to continue to have access to these services.

Over the years, we have extended our relationships to other oil giants, and are now also approved contractors for Morris Oil, Total, and Volkswagen Oil Programme.
