Seems the way forward now in the fencing industry is to premix your rapid set postmix then pour into your hole.

Seems to set quicker & stronger than the traditional way of pouring water & the dry powder into the hole 💪🏼.

Instead of constantly checking your tape measure when digging your fence post holes, mark your digging bar or shovel at 2ft with electrical tape.

Simple, quicker & keeps every post hole spot on 👌

We first worked at this property in Biddenham 5 years ago… so when their long run of fencing finally gave up, they knew who to call.

This one wasn’t a small job either 43 metres long & standing at 7.6ft high 💪.

Out with the tired, leaning panels & in with something more robust :
➡️ 10ft 4x4’ timber posts (bitumen treated for extra life)
➡️ 6ft closeboard panels

➡️ 1ft square trellis on top

This one in Biddenham took us 2.5 days from start to finish after the old low-level fence had finally given up the ghost.

The homeowner wanted a stronger, longer-lasting fence that actually gave them some privacy from the neighbouring properties so we installed:

“Met posts save money”… until they don’t 👀

We see this all the time across Bedfordshire.

The timber post inside the met post eventually rots out underground. Sounds simple enough to replace, right? Wrong….

Once that timber has swollen, rotted & broken apart inside the steel sleeve, getting a new post back in becomes an absolute nightmare.

Most of the time the whole met post ends up needing digging out anyway… and trust us, that’s a proper pain in the arse.

By the time you’ve paid for repairs, labour & replacement posts the “cheap option” suddenly isn’t so cheap anymore.

Our advice?
Do it properly from the start with:

✔️ Steel fence posts

Some customers really do go above and beyond 👏

Since being diagnosed with coeliac disease, I usually have to admire the biscuit tin from a safe distance while Macca dives in!

But today, one of our awesome customers surprised us with a full gluten free biscuit tin on site… and safe to say it won’t last long 🍪🍪🍪

Little things like this genuinely mean a lot when you’re coeliac. Proper thoughtful gesture and massively appreciated!
